Grocery Shopping

Hello, Dear Ones! Well, you know how it is when you're moving in...if you want to eat you must go grocery shopping. So that's what I did! ;)
I've piled everything on the kitchen table so I can sort through and and put it all up in the right place
Now I see this is fuzzy, but just pretend it's not! ;) There are lots of little printables on Pinterest for boxes of groceries and that's what I did. I printed out some little boxes, folded them and just used a glue stick to seal the deal! I did want you to see how tiny this little box is. As small as it is, it shouldn't be fuzzy...but hey. Now, have you ever eaten Digestives? These are cookies and my favorite is covered in chocolate. My daughter fed them to me when she lived in the UK. So yumminess! I know, I know, my fingers are all crinkly. Honey, those dainty fingers do just too much stuff and I guess that's why they're crinkly. It couldn't possibly be because I'm old! :)
Canned goods! Is this the cutest or what? Now I didn't make these although you can if you want to...just cut a tiny wooden dowel and then print and glue a label on it. They're all over Pinterest. I got these little canned goods at A. C. Moore, 12 for under $5!
I'm finding out that sometimes it's a bit hard to poke these tiny little things where you want them when you have crinkly fingers so I have some handy dandy tweezers that help me so much! I told you I was talented! :)
There, the cans are in their places and I can see exactly what I have. The little sweet blue and white casseroles on top of the cabinets came from Hobby Lobby! Love them! There are my canisters I made and the little bowls I painted. The kitchen is shaping up.
Here on my pitiful shelf I've placed the boxes of food! Don't tell but the Digestive box is completely empty! The cookies didn't last very long! :)
 Getting ready to cook.
On this other pitiful shelf I've placed some of my little cooking pots and pans. The dutch oven is simmering some beans right now. Even though I live in New York I still have to have my beans and cornbread from time to time since I'm a southern gal.
There's my little kitchen. Hey, where is the table and chairs? I do believe that silly Tang drug them outside! Tang...

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Eat It - sung to the tune of Michael Jackson's "Beat It"

How come you're always such a fussy young man
Don't want no Captain Crunch, don't want no Raisin Bran
Well, don't you know that other kids are starving in Japan
So eat it, just eat it

Don't want to argue, I don't want to debate
Don't want to hear about what kind of food you hate
You won't get no dessert 'till you clean off your plate
So eat it

Don't you tell me you're full
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Get yourself an egg and beat it
Have some more chicken, have some more pie
It doesn't matter if it's boiled or fried
Just eat it, eat it, just eat it, eat it
Just eat it, eat it, just eat it, eat it, ooh

Your table manners are some cryin' shame
You're playin' with your food, this ain't some kind of game
Now, if you starve to death, you'll just have yourself to blame
So eat it, just eat it

You better listen, better do what you're told
You haven't even touched your tuna casserole
You better chow down or it's gonna get cold
So eat it

I don't care if you're full
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Open up your mouth and feed it
Have some more yogurt, have some more spam
It doesn't matter if it's fresh or canned
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Don't you make me repeat it
Have a banana, have a whole bunch
It doesn't matter what you had for lunch
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it

Eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
If it's gettin' cold, reheat it
Have a big dinner, have a light snack
If you don't like it, you can't send it back
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Get yourself an egg and beat it (oh lord)
Have some more chicken, have some more pie
It doesn't matter if it's boiled or fried
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
Don't you make me repeat it (oh no)
Have a banana, have a whole bunch
It doesn't matter what you had for lunch
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
~ sung by Weird Al Yankovich

  4. How adorable! Oh my, the wee little dry goods and bakeware:). Me thinks Tang needs a wee little family to keep him out of Troube with a capital T! Kathleen in Az

  7. I SO need to add more dry goods to my miniature kitchen. My main mini house has just a few tweaks needed, when I get some time I will do that and post about it.

I have a gorgeous vintage Victorian too I'd love to make into a public Tea Room - have had it for years, just is so expensive to do it as I would like to do...now that I have a grand daughter I may be newly inspired to do so!

Thanks for your sweet and kind well-wishes. We're all just over the moon happy!

    Hugs! ♥

  10. I love the packets! The blue and white dishes and the red pans are gorgeous too. Chocolate digestives are a wonder aren't they!! I would send you some, but they would be crumbs by the time the post office had dealt with them! Does your house have a resident other than Tang and if so, what is their name? I am intrigued to know!

  11. Shelia, I have to laugh now...I saw your lead in title and thought, "oh boy I have to weigh in on this...since I do not like grocery shopping so much." LOL. Then I see you have been making groceries...so darn cute. You are so clever making all the little things that really make it more like a real house. Love it. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  12. Shelia, you are the funniest and most creative blogger in the whole wide world. www.shelia.com (whole wide world, www, get it?) ha! I love your kitchen and I like your shelves just fine, they get the job done for sure. All your little pieces are just delightful. Why even your wrinkly fingers are wonderful. Well ... sort of. Just wait til you're my age if you want to see some wrinkles!
