Hello, Dear Ones! Welcome back to the dollhouse, well my 'make do' dollhouse. Today I wanted to share the living room with you. I need some more accessories but you know how it is...in time.
You know you need artwork in your rooms and this is what I did. I found some lovely pieces on the internet and just printed this one out. I cut a piece of foam board slightly smaller than the frame and glued the picture to it. Foam board is surely becoming my bestie right now! Then I took my dainty fingers and just curled the edges of the framed back a bit over the foam board and it seemed to help it look more realistic. Well, it does to me.
I made my little coffee table with an oval piece of wood and then glued on some little 'feet'. Easy peasy too. Oh, don't you just love the little tea set? It's part of a dish set I found at Hobby Lobby in their mini section. You know you just have to have some china pieces!
There is a little round corner table at the end of the sofa that I made too. Same thing. Glue wood pieces together. Then I made a lamp. It's not perfect and a little askew but it'll do for now. I have your tea waiting for you.
Here's another pretty piece of artwork that I printed out and proceeded just like the one above. It's amazing what a difference it makes to bend the edges a little over the foam board! Looks pretty nice, don't you think?
Well, come on it and sit down. I'll take little Tang off the arm chair so you can sit down. Oh, no, Tang doesn't shed and your allergies will not kick up either. Remember, we're living in mini land! ;)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
If
If a picture paints a thousand words
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show
The you I've come to know
If a face could launch a thousand ships
Then where am I to go?
There's no one home but you
You're all that's left me too
And when my love for life is running dry
You come and pour yourself on me
If a man could be two places at one time
I'd be with you
Tomorrow and today
Beside you all the way
If the world should stop revolving
Spinning slowly down to die
I'd spend the end with you
And when the world was through
Then one by one the stars would all go out
Then you and I would simply fly away
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show
The you I've come to know
If a face could launch a thousand ships
Then where am I to go?
There's no one home but you
You're all that's left me too
And when my love for life is running dry
You come and pour yourself on me
If a man could be two places at one time
I'd be with you
Tomorrow and today
Beside you all the way
If the world should stop revolving
Spinning slowly down to die
I'd spend the end with you
And when the world was through
Then one by one the stars would all go out
Then you and I would simply fly away
