I'm Back! Sort of...

Hello, Dear Ones! Have you missed me? Well, I have certainly missed you and can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted last! Life has gobbled up my time! So I thought I would catch you up with what's been going on.
We have a peony bush out back and last summer it had one bud, I touched it and it disintegrated! So this year I thought it is not getting any sunlight so it's just going to sit there agan. Not so! It bloomed it's tiny branches off giving me the most beautiful white ruffly blossoms.  This bouquet is a week or so old and beginning to get the little brown spots, but oh how I've enjoyed my peonies and the heavenly scents!
Then we bought some Cracker Barrel chair pads for our Cracker Barrel rocking chairs. So comfy!
I just have to share this with you. My most beloved Mr. Precious had a couple of very scary episodes and we ended up in the ER! He is so healthy and just never gets sick or anything but began having horrible stomach cramps. He spent his very first ever night in the hospital(and I slept in the chair right in his room) and they decided something was wrong with his heart and did a heart cath on him. Are you ready? He had NO blockage of any kind! They sent him home and told us - we don't know what it was but we know what it wasn't. Okay. Back to life, we thought. The very next week he started to have the same horrible cramps. It was getting so bad he couldn't stand up and he said call 911! I did and was giving them the info and he passed out! I thought he had died, Dear Ones! The ambulance got here and the pain came again and he passed out again! I was scared to death and praying with everything I had. They did an MRI on his tummy - no intestinal blockage. Long story short...they determined he has gastritis, an inflamed stomach. They told us it was a virus and would take 6 to 8 weeks to heal and he probably got it from one of our grandchildren! They put him on Prylosec each day for a month and a very bland diet and he is doing wonderfully. They told us the reason he passed out was from the intense pain. Boy, that was scary. So I'm being very careful what he eats and as we look back, we see he ate some very spicy oriental soup - the next day - the pain. Then pizza - the next day - the pain. He's never had acid reflux before but the spicy food and the marinara sauce just set this stuff off. So we're eating very bland, he's had no more problems and has lost 7 pounds. I've lost a tiny bit myself! Thank you, Lord, for letting my Mr. Precious be okay.
Then here is my little heart, my little Carter. She is 6 years old now and the 'whatever' that tore up her immune system has left her little body and she is no longer on any meds and is just doing great! I bought her mommy that shirt in Bath, England when we visited the Jane Austin museum and Carter wanted to wear it to school because it was 'favorite book day'. My daughter fixed the tee shirt in the back so she could wear it and she was a hit with all of the teachers! :)
Then there is our little Campie. This little guy has the cutest personality you've ever seen. He smiles constantly and loves to come to our house and when his parents come to take him home after a visit, he screams and cries! We love it. He is not quite 3 but his vocabulary is just amazing. He can say anything and is really into cars and machines. Mr. Precious was walking him down the street the other day and our neighbor drove up in her little convertable and Campie asked her, "What kind of car is this?" She couldn't believe he had asked her that! We brought my exercise bike up to the sunroom so I can get exercise for my leg. He saw it and said he loved that machine and wanted to know what it does? :)
Oh, and our yard and plants are just so beautiful right now. It took F.O.R.E.V.E.R. for the weather to finally warm up but everything outside has truly benefited from it. Now don't slap me but here it is, mid June, and we've not even had to turn on the air conditioning! Can you believe it? I love it.
Out in the back my hosta garden I planted last year is looking so pretty and has even filled out a little more since I took this snap.
I told you I had started a new hobby. Yep, miniatures like in dollhouse and furniture! Don't get excited as that is not my dollhouse...I don't have one yet. But that is not stopping me from having some mini fun. I've made mini rooms from foam board and am trying to make a lot of  my furniture. It may not be completely the right size but I' m having fun and will show you soon what I've done.

I just wanted to check in with you and and fill you in and then let you know I probably won't be able to post anything for over a week because our daughter and son-in-law are taking a trip to Portugal and we are keeping the babies! I know I'll be busier than a bee with them here and we do plan on having a lot of fun so I won't be able to post. But when their mommy and daddy get back, hopefully I'll get back on schedule!

Just know I love you all and thank you so much for all of your sweet visits and comments to my blog. Thank you also for all of the sweet emails checking up on me, I so appreciate you.
So until next time...

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I'll Be Seeing You

 I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day and through

In that small cafe
The park across the way
The children's carousel
The chestnut trees, the wishing well

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way

I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way

I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you
