The sun is shining in the dining room windows and the light is just right.
Every thing is just glowing with morning light! I just love that, don't you?
Well, the purpose of this post - Milk Glass! As you can see I simple adore this crocheted runner and I use it probably more than I should. It just speaks to me, you know what I mean?
I poked down a couple of these little Milk Glass pieces in the Grape Leaf pattern and added a greens ball! Done!
This is the piece I wanted to show you. Isn't she gorgeous? I filled her with lots of spring blooms and made her the centerpiece of my table.
Here's a closer view. She is all curvy and beautiful. I just love Milk Glass!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
I Live For The Sun
Sun sun sun sun
Sun sun sun sun
I live for the sun (sun sun sun sun)
Because it makes fun (fun)
Pretty girls with their guys
Such a love you can't buy
Baby, We all live for the sun
Go!
Sun sun sun sun
Sun sun sun sun
My girl, my girl and me (sun sun sun sun)
We will stay right by the sea (sun)
Livin' and lovin' this way
We're with the sun every day
We, we all live for the sun
Go!
Sun sun sun sun
Sun sun sun sun
Sunsets are for lovers
And dads and mothers
Whoa and little girls
And their brothers
They all live for the sun
Go!
Sun sun sun sun
Sun sun sun sun
Listen, ah listen 'cause (sun sun sun sun)
Don't be, don't be a dud (sun)
Take your girl by the hand
Walk with her in the sand
And always, yes always
We got to live for the...
Sun sun sun sun
Sun sun sun sun
Go!
Sun sun sun sun
Sun sun sun sun
Go!
Sun sun sun sun
Sun sun sun sun

Shelia, you have found a beautiful piece of milk glass. Gorgeous on your table with all the pretty flowers. I hope you are healing well and getting back to normal (what ever that is in our crazy lives). Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty piece- great shape! The light does look beautiful in the room- definitely cheerful! I bet you are getting around a lot better and happy to be more mobile again!
ReplyDeleteYou got me at the title of the post. I love it too. I love your pretty table runner with that beautiful centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteShelia, the milk glass is so pretty -- especially the new piece! However, I just LOVE your whole dining room!! Love the wall color, the paneling, those beautiful curtains (bet you made them), the plates on the wall, and that gorgeous sideboard and mirror! What a lovely room. :) My mom has a crocheted table runner very similar to that, and I've often commented on hers. Yours looks so pretty with the milk glass.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Shelia, and have a great day!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor

I love the morning sun in my dining room also - it makes me smile right down to my toes!!
ReplyDeleteI love milk glass and every time I see a piece I think of you! Your new piece is absolutely gorgeous. It's perfect on your table with the other two pieces with it. If you ever come to my part of the world I want to take you to an antique shop on the Oregon Coast. She has more milk glass in one place that I usually see - and I always think of you!

ReplyDeleteI hope that your knee has completely healed and you are getting around. Take care of yourself and hugs to little Carter.

You have a nice collection of milk glass, Shelia...your new piece its in beautifully. Love your bright and cheery dining room
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Beautiful new piece, Shelia. Yes, I love to see sunshine streaming into our home. Our dining room is interior, and even though it looks out to the sun room with windows and French doors, not a lot of sun beams stream into the room.
ReplyDeleteEverytime I see your pretty milk glass, I think of my mom. She had a beautiful collection and used it all the years I was growing up. One of my nieces has her collection now and has most of it displayed in her kitchen. It's fun for me to see this next generation loving and appreciating my mother's things.
Hi Shelia! How are you? How is the lovely Carter?
ReplyDeleteHow love how sunny your dining-room is. And your table looks really nice with its crocheted runner and the well decorated mill glass.
Hugs,
Arlette

Thanks for sharing and have a beautiful weekend, Sheila.
