Sunshine

Hello, Dear Ones! I'm so excited to see a little bit of sunshine today as we've been having a lot of rain! I've been trying to take my bunnies and eggs away and just get my home ready for spring.
So I thought I would start springing up my decor so I put a little cuteness on my kitchen table!  Nothing like my faux hydrangeas (I love my fauxs and my fauxs love me) to brighten up a spot. I  found the wooden tray a while back at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I find myself using it all the time. My daughter loves it and is always trying to take it home with her! No, no Nannette, she's not gettin' it! :)
Then the true stars of my little centerpiece are my olden yard birds! They're a little chipped up, that's okay with me, and I guess I should grab a red sharpie and go to town on their combs! ;) Oh, well, we all know those scars have stories. But, these yard bird aren't talking, crowing or chirping. Hope you've got some sunshine today.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

My Girl

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May
Well I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl)

I've got so much honey the bees envy me
I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees
Well I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl ooh)
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Ooh yeah
I don't need no money, fortune, or fame (ooh hey hey hey)

  1. Enjoy that sunshine, Shelia. We've been getting April showers this week so it's a little on the dark and gloomy side. I know the sun will come though. :)

  2. I simply adore this vignette! Each and every piece from the gorgeous pink hydrangeas (my faorite) to the tray, the floral vase and the little roosters. I would leave the chips..as you said, they have stories to keep!

  3. The hydrangea is lovely, it looks so real, I wouldn't have known it was faux if you hadn't said. I shall have that song in my head all day now.

  11. I always love your cute decor. You inspire me, dear friend. When I read the title of your blog post I immediately thought of the old gospel song 'There Is Sunshine In My Soul Today'. That's where the sunshine is for us - it didn't show up in the sky today!
