I'm So Late!

Hello, Dear Ones! Well, yep, I'm late! Late to show you our Easter snaps. So much has been going on with me, grandkids...just life. But since I love you all so, I'm gonna share even though I'm late!
Here is Mr. Precious and me with the grandbabies! Carter is doing so well and we're praising God for His goodness. Since her steroids have been cut back so much, the weight is just falling off her.
Here our daughter and son in law popped into the snap! It seems we gals were into blue on Easter Sunday. After we attended the 8:00 am service at church we all went home to change clothes, get comfy and then head on over to our daughter's house for an Easter brunch. Oh, here's a little Campie story. There was no nursery on Easter so the kids had to sit in church with us. The pianist was playing a beautiful offertory and Campie was just listening and then he got upset and said, "Where is the piano? I can't see the piano? Where is it?" The praise team on stage just all started to giggle! Kids! ;)
Daughter set her table with the crystal I gave her for her wedding and the pretty china her late mother-in-law gave her.
Here was our brunch food. Daughter made an overnight french toast and quiche. We had fruits, sausage balls, salad and a delicious coconut pound cake! We ate ourselves silly. The middle snap is the bread bunny so cute. But before I could get a good snap the kids had broken off an ear and the eyes! :)

Oh, this will show you how my daughter and I are so much alike. Last year I found a little Peter Rabbit piece at a thrift shop. I showed it to my daughter and she laughed and said she had one just like it that she found at a thrift shop! :)
Mr. Precious and Carter in her bunny ears. I see the price tag thingy was still attached! :)
Campie was really into finding eggs! He was so proud each time he found one.
Here's Carter with her eggs. It was just a beautiful day with lots of sunshine.
Campie says, "Look Shesho (that's what he calls me), I have eggs!"
We had a great time and it is so wonderful to live so close to our little family and enjoy these special times.

Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Redeemer

Who taught the sun
Where to stand in the morning
And who taught the ocean
You can only come this far
And who showed the moon
Where to hide till evening
Whose words alone can
Catch a falling star

Well I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives
Yeah

The very same God
That spins things in orbit
Runs to the weary
The worn and the weak
And the same gentle hands
That hold me when I'm broken
They conquer death to bring me victory

Now I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I know my Redeemer

He lives to take away my shame
And He lives forever I'll proclaim
That the payment for my sin
Was the precious life He gave
But now He's alive and there's an empty grave

And I know my Redeemer, He lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry

I know my Redeemer
I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
I know that, I know that, I know that, I know that, I know
I know my Redeemer lives
(Because He lives I can face tomorrow)
He lives, I know, I know, I know.
He lives
(I spoke with Him this morning.)

He lives.
(The tomb is empty)
He lives.
(I'm gotta tell everybody)

  6. Beautiful Easter photos, Sheila. Your grands are so CUTE! Glad that Carter is continuing to improve. This Easter we had Carl's son come in from Chicago (spur of the moment decision), so we were at least with one of our boys. Wishing you a great weekend!

  14. Nice pictures. Your family looks so nice. I'm curious about the room your daughters table is in. It looks like your sun room. Is that a style in New York? I really like that. I guess we would bake here in Texas with a sun room like yours. :-)

    1. Hi Nelda! Oh, thank you so much. No, that's not my sunroom, it's my daughter's living/dining room. They live in a mid century modern home and this room as well as the kitchen have these wonderful windows. I did a post on it a few years ago and if you'd like to read it, here is the link:

    2. Thank you, I did read that post and I remember seeing that before and thought it was so neat. Now I can picture it. I thought the recent picture looked like the wood on the windows were curved over like yours. Thanks

Loved all of the pics, especially the ones in the Easter attire. I love seeing people dressed up, as we seem to live in a world of slobs these days. :(

  30. Hello dear Shelia, It is never too late to share these beautiful photos of your precious family. Carter and Campie are just adorable. The brunch looks delicious and that bread bunny still looked like a bunny even with the missing parts. HA!

I am so glad to hear Carter is doing well. I didn't share this with my blog friends but I was on prednisone for two years for a form of painful arthritis and gained 15 lbs. When I finally could get off of that medicine I dropped that 15 lbs so fast. I am so thankful little Carter is improving and doing well.

The best thing you did was move close to your family. It means everything to watch your grandchildren grow up. It is just as special for them to be close to you too. It is a blessing to you all.

    Love,Jeanne
