Of course no fruit and veggie stand would be complete without Milk Glass. You do agree, don't you?
I grabbed these triplets of Milk Glass and went to town poking in fruits and veggies, faux of course! These large Milk Glass fruit bowls are of the Grape Leaf pattern. I just love them. I also have some small candy dishes of this pattern with lids.
Every fruit stand must have apples and these red beauties look so pretty in my Milk Glass.
Next up are the artichokes, also very pretty in my pedestaled Milk Glass fruit bowl.
Then for some variety, I poked my pedestaled Milk Glass fruit bowl up on the bottom of a cupcake stand and filled it with sunny yellow lemons!
Since we're at the fruit stand you know there are always yard birds poking about so I put my olden, beat up and bruised green Rooster on a stick among the yummies.
There now! An olden table cloth, painted wooden tray covered with a green and white checked tea towel adorned with my fruit and vegetable stand. Now what would you like? Artichoke dip? Lemon or apple pie?
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I love it!! I love the tablecloth too. You make things so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Nelda! Hope all is well with you.
DeleteSo beautiful and it brings back memories for me. When I was a young "housewife" (yes we used that term a very long time ago) the budget was very tight. I acquired home accessories by using my S&H Green Stamps!...and my very first item that I got with my green stamps was a milk glass hobnail basket with a handle...I still have it to this day...
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sheila! Thank you, I'll have a piece of apple pie. I too, have faux fruit in my kitchen, mini green apples in a berry basket.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day and take it easy.

Hi Kathleen! Okie dokie! I'd bake you one if you were really coming! :)
DeleteI was ready to dive in for a snack! Glad you warned me it was faux fruit (although it is very GOOD looking faux fruit!) Happy week!

ReplyDeleteI love those milk glass bowls. I had two of them at one time but they have since found new homes. Downsizing isn't easy for sure.

Your table looks terrific and I thought it was real fruit. I will take a piece of lemon meringue pie, please.
ReplyDeleteHope your knee is feeling great and you can get around.
Love the post Shelia.

Hi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!! I'm glad you told us it was faux fruit, because I was going to say what perfect looking fruit, lol. :-D I love the tablecloth and green and white gingham tea towel. The rooster blends in beautifully. Now this makes me want to stop at a roadside produce stand or head to the farmer's market.
I enjoyed your post and hope you're doing well with your recovery. Thanks for your visit and have a great day!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
That looks so pretty, Shelia. I love faux fruits and veggies because they are so much fun to decorate with. Your kitchen is light, bright, and pretty. Are you getting some good spring weather yet?
ReplyDeleteHappy Thoughts of Home. :)
What a pretty look, I would never have guessed they're faux. I just picked some milk glass up at a thrift store, now I need to find a place to use it. Your arrangement looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty arrangement!
ReplyDeletevery nice, love it
ReplyDeleteThat fruit looks real. I wouldn't know if you didn't say. Wouldn't that be embarrassing to bite into one? Such a pretty scene.
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute Shelia! Love the "fruit stand" :-) I just put something together in a basket with some fruit and artichokes. I think we're spying on each other!
ReplyDeleteLove it! So glad you are feeling better. I have a square grapes milkglass candy jar that belonged to my Mama. I wouldn't trade it for anything! I remember she kept Brach's candy in it (the kind you could choose yourself at the grocery store). I don't know if any stores even have that any more.
ReplyDeleteLovely fruit stand Shelia! Take good care of yourself!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Arlette
Thank you, Arlette.
DeleteThat looks So pretty Sheila! I love the white glass and it reminds me of my grandma-- i think she had some of the same pieces. I have one vase!
ReplyDeleteYour fruit stand is beautiful! I love the milk glass with the fruit and artichokes! Your entire kitchen is so pretty...you have a real knack for decorating. Anyone ever tell you that? :)
ReplyDeleteA fruit stand and milkglass. It's so pretty, Shelia. The colors of the fruit against the white is fantastic. Glad you are having some decorating fun after all the knee business!
ReplyDeleteYour fruit looks so tasty in the white milkglass.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Sheila. The milk glass is showcasing the fruit beautifully. Your home looks so lovely. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteShelia, this looks WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteI'm checking in today to give you a cyber hug. I emailed you earlier.
Love you and still love your blog.

ReplyDeleteHere I am catching up again! I love your arrangement - but I do have a question. Do you have to move this every time you eat? Or do you eat somewhere else and this can stay there? I tend to keep my table arrangements very simple because we only have one table and whatever I put in the center has to move more than once a day.
