Gotta have balloons.
Mr. Precious hauling in presents. Love that guy.
Here's our little birthday girl dressed up in heals, her Halloween cape I made for her, a crown and a scepter!
Bless her sweet heart. She's been through so much and has finally gotten her energy back and her spunk. She's still got a way to go but we're so thankful for the progree she's made. Thank you, Lord.
Little Campie was looking on in amazement. I guess that's the look on his little face! ;)
But he was not left out. Have to give our little boy a few gifts too.
My daughter and son-in-law got both of them harmonicas and they loved them. Campie always had this big eyed expression on his face as he played his music. My daddy is in heaven but he would have been so proud to know his great grandchildren had these harmonicas because he could play the socks off one.You know how I've been sewing my head off with clothes for Babbette, well, here she is and Carter loved her. The first thing she did was take off her clothes and put her gown on her.
We got her this little swing and you can see, Babbette has already gone to sleep. There was a little bed too and I made all the linens for it and forgot to take a snap of it. Trust me, it looked wonderful!
How I love this little darling. She's my heart. Here was the cute little cake my daughter made, colorful and tasty. Inside it was chocolate applesause - so good!
Blowing out the candles.
Remember this? One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. And...one to grown on!
After all of the opening of presents, blowing out candles and eating meatballs we went outside so Carter could practice her hoola hooping. She did good. Just wanted to share with you our celebration. Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers for Carter. She seems to be doing well and we're praising God!
I'm joining How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

What a wonderful party for Carter, Shelia. I'm so glad she is doing so well! Many blessings to you and your family this Easter, dear one. ♥
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see both you and Carter looking well, I must admit that I never heard of the birthday wacks.....
My sister started to buy a gift for her other child when it was the other one's Birthday but when she ended up having 5 kids, it became quite an expensive bad idea!! And they expected gifts whenever it was someone else's Birthday, everyone's Birthday!!!! LOL! So when my mother wanted to buy for my other son when it was the other one's birthday, I would not allow it because I felt they had to learn that only the Birthday kid got gifts because it was their special day and when it was their Birthday, they would be the special one!! Just talking from experience after seeing the mistake that my sister made.....
Happy Easter!!
Hugs,
Deb
Such a precious post!!!! She is adorable!!

ReplyDeleteHello Shelia, what a lovely party. It's so nice to be able to take part parties the in the little one celebrations. My wee ones are not so wee any more so don't have birthday parties the same as they use to.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to hear both you and Carter are on the mend, Carter looks so happy and well in the photos

Sorry, that second sentence doesn't make sense. It should say 'it's nice to be able to take part in the little ones celebrations'.
