Back To Milking It

Hello, Dear Ones! Well, before Christmas I started showing you some of my Milk Glass. Since I'm kinda sitting down all of the time now with nothing to show you around my house, I thought I would finish what I had started. So hope you enjoy seeing some more of my Milk Glass.
Remember, I took these snaps during the Fall. This is the Bubble pattern. Isn't it sweet?
I just love how opaque Milk Glass is and the little bubbles on the side of this squarish dish make me smile. Well, honestly, I don't know for sure if this bowl really is the Bubble pattern. The shapes are not quite bubbleish enough. So if you know please tell me.
Anyway, don't you love the shape of this bowl? You could just poke about anything in this bowl and it would look lovely. I promise!
Then I have this little creamer and sugar bowl and they are the Bubble pattern. Now I just don't know if the sugar bowl had a lid or not. But I really don't care ~
Would you like a little cream?

One lump or two?

Sometimes I find the same pieces of Milk Glass and I just love that. Look at these two pretty bowls. I used as much of my Milk Glass as I could when we hosted a Christmas party! You can use these all kinds of ways and in any room ~ in the kitchen, living room, use as a centerpiece or even in a bathroom. Wouldn't the little creamer and sugar bowl look cute with makeup brushes or Q Tips in them?
Well, for now I'll keep milking my Milk Glass to show you for a few more posts until I can think of what else I can do to post about. I don't think you'd like to see my den right now that we've turned into my bedroom. We had to move the sofa over by the sliding glass doors so I could get on it. The grandkids little table has become my end table. Well, you get the picture. Who knows, I just may break down and show you one of these days! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Rave On

A we-a-e-a-ell

The little things you say and do
Make me want to be with you-a-hoo
Rave on, it's a crazy feelin' and
I know it's got me reelin'
When you say, I love you, rave on
The way you dance and hold me tight
The way you kiss and say goodni-hi-hight
Rave on, it's a crazy feelin' and-a
I know it's got me reelin'
When you say, I love you, rave on
A-well rave on, it's a crazy feelin' and
I know, it's got me reelin'
I'm so glad, that you're revealin'
Your love for me
Rave on, rave on and tell me
Tell me, not to be lonely
Tell me, you love me only
Rave on to me
A-well rave on, it's a crazy feelin' and
I know, it's got me reelin'
I'm so glad, that you're revealin'
Your love for me
Rave on, rave on and tell me
Tell me, not to be lonely
Tell me, you love me only
Rave on to me
~ sung by Buddy Holly

  3. I don't know if I've ever seen the bubble pattern, or perhaps I wasn't paying attention! You can sure bet I will now! It's all so clean, crisp and pretty — just the touch for a new year.
Enjoy your time downstairs by pretending you're away at camp! Have a craft time, snack time, story time . . . and maybe someone will roast a marshmallow for you! Poor baby! Feel better soon!

  6. Sheila, your milk glass is so very pretty. And I also have no doubt that however you re-arranged your den and made a bedroom out of it, that it still looks classy :)

  8. LOL love the Buddy Holly tune. Your beautiful milk glass...I could see it being used lots. Even on a dressing table with some pearls hanging over the edges. Little bouquets in groupings of milk glass. B I sure hope you are coming along with your healing. Also your precious granddaughter, Carter. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie

  9. I love milk glass and have forced myself not to have a collection - but I have a few pieces. I can justify them because they are vases and pieces that I use for special things. Silly, aren't I? I'm still praying for you, my friend, and I know you will be up and around one of these days and able to share more with us.

  12. I don't see much of the bubble pattern in milk glass. I've seen it in the clear crystal and the blue some, but not much. Milk Glass is my favorite and I collect hobnail. I think the bubble pattern would be a great pattern to go with my hobnail. Love your posts on milkglass. Either everyone is holding on to theirs or it's in Grandma's attic. I can't seem to find it like I did at one time.

  14. Lovely lovely milk glass. I have quite a collection of it and use it in many ways and with many other dishes. It goes so well with everything. I have a lovely round milk glass tray and I keep it in the bathroom with little milk glass dishes on it for little, qtips, cotton balls etc. I also have a good size set of little milk glass chickens-on-nests. They are great for little individual servings and for jams and jellies - I do love milk glass and yours is wonderful.

  17. Very pretty, Shelia. I wish we had kept my mom's -- I was too young to appreciate it when my dad had the estate sale back in the 80s...
