The weather has been so nice but it's always cozy to have a little fire going!
Here's what all I poked up on my mantel - mantelfestation! My word of course. First of all I'm loving changing out what plates to hang on the wall for the different seasons!
I love my Roosters and they had been a tad neglected so I brought out my most favorite and poked him up here on the right hand side among pun'kins and some fallen leaves.
Twin candlesticks and a little birdcage sitting on books ~ the centerpiece of the mantelfestation.
I don't know if you can see it or not but there is a little Rooster in there among all of the Fallen things.
Here's the left side with a little trio of Roosters, all of them very different from the other. On the far left you can see my little good luck cricket! He just hopped right up here on the mantel.
Hope you've enjoyed seeing my Fallen mantelfestation! :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave yo with a little Note Song ~
Hazy Shade of Winter
Time, time, time
See what's become of me
Time, time, time
See what's become of me
While I looked around
For my possibilities
See what's become of me
While I looked around
For my possibilities
I was so hard to please
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a hazy shade of winter
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a hazy shade of winter
Hear the salvation army band
Down by the riverside
It's bound to be a better ride
Than what you've got planned
Down by the riverside
It's bound to be a better ride
Than what you've got planned
Carry a cup in your hand
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a hazy shade of winter
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a hazy shade of winter
Hang on to your hopes my friend
That's an easy thing to say
But if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend
That's an easy thing to say
But if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend
That you can build them again
Look around
Grass is high
Fields are ripe
It's the springtime of my life
Grass is high
Fields are ripe
It's the springtime of my life
Seasons change with the scenery
Weaving time in a tapestry
Won't you stop and remember me?
Weaving time in a tapestry
Won't you stop and remember me?
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a hazy shade of winter
Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a hazy shade of winter
Look around
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow
On the ground
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow

Love it and your fabulous Rooster collection. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour Fall decorating has been inspiring. I haven't done much this year and I'd better get busy and do a bit more before Thanksgiving. I have family and possibly a guest or two coming for Thanksgiving dinner. I'll add a bit more just in time to put it all away again! Your home is so lovely and I enjoy seeing everything you do there.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, sweet Kathleen!
DeleteVery cozy with all your beautiful fall decorations! I wanted to comment on your lamp that was damaged in the move. It makes me so angry when movers do these stupid things...I just have a real hard time handling these situations. I guess I have no patience for it....
ReplyDeleteJeannette
Thank you so much, Jen! I appreciate your concern too about the negligence of the packers. Urrrrr!

Beautiful fall mantel Shelia. Pumpkins, roosters and garland together are perfect. So cozy and inviting to enjoy sitting in from of the gorgeous fireplace. You created the best mantelfestation!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a new week my friend. xo
Lol... I love the post titles you come up with! I like the mix you came up with- the garlands and roosters are cute together. I saw your lantern and said "eek" I also put together a lantern with a bird in it. I just haven't finished what I'm doing with it yet. I'm still holding back on Christmas deco but I am dreaming up my ideas for it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you mixed roosters in with the pumpkins and other fall decorations Shelia, they really have all the beautiful fall colors so they look fantastic! I will be decorating for Christmas soon too. I decorated in November for the first time last year and it took so much pressure off of the weeks between Christmas and Thanksgiving and freed up so much time. I plan on decorating in November from now on!
