Hello, Dear Ones! Hope all is well with you. Well today I thought I'd bring you into my little kitchen.
Here sits a little yard bird couple - very olden and chippy, but I am totally in love with them. I think the detail on them are so neat.
Pun'kins! Gotta have pun'kins.
Then to make Ruby feel more than special, she got here own sprig of Fallness! Thanks for popping in to see me today and I really do love to hear from you! I do hope you'll leave me a comment and I will reply back to you, I promise! :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town
You've painted up your lips and rolled and curled your tinted hair
Ruby are you contemplating, going out somewhere
The shadow on the wall, tells me the sun is going down
Oh Ruby, don't take your love to town
The shadow on the wall, tells me the sun is going down
Oh Ruby, don't take your love to town
It wasn't me that started that ol' crazy Asian war
But I was proud to go and do my patriotic chore
And yes it's true, that I'm not the man I used to be
But Ruby, I still need some company
But I was proud to go and do my patriotic chore
And yes it's true, that I'm not the man I used to be
But Ruby, I still need some company
It's hard to love a man, whose legs are bent and paralyzed
And the wants and needs of a woman of your age
Ruby I realize
It won't be long, I've heard them say, until I'm not around,
Oh Ruby, don't take your love to town
And the wants and needs of a woman of your age
Ruby I realize
It won't be long, I've heard them say, until I'm not around,
Oh Ruby, don't take your love to town
She's leaving now 'cause I just heard the slamming of the door
The way I know I've heard it slam 100 times before
And if I could move I'd get my gun and put her in the ground, oh Ruby
Don't take your love to town, oh Ruby, for God's sake turn around
The way I know I've heard it slam 100 times before
And if I could move I'd get my gun and put her in the ground, oh Ruby
Don't take your love to town, oh Ruby, for God's sake turn around
Oh, I love Ruby and her autumn decorations! I've got a KA mixer that I bought in 1990, and it's still running. I need to give her a name. I have been out of the loop, but I have bookmarked your British tour--can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLove me some Kenny Rogers, guess I can say an oldie but goodie song for me. Cute little Fall corner, Kathleen in Az
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen! Thanks for popping in and I love the old Kenny songs too!
DeleteHope you're having a good weekend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love how you name the furniture and appliances at your place, Shelia. You are so clever! Your fall touches are so cute!
ReplyDeleteRuby looks great all decked out in her Fall decorations. Love the little yard birds - they are so special.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week ahead.
Mary
You're so funny naming your mixer. I have a sister named Robin and she like to be called Ruby, now I will always think of your mixer when I hear the name Ruby.
ReplyDeleteCUTE and awesome pics. I sure would love to meet you in person. I absolutely adore you and think you are so unique and fun and sweet - just sending big hugs.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever find yourself near Columbus, Ohio...........you have a home here with me anytime, ok? ♥♥♥
Ruby is very special!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
She fits in perfect with the colors of Autumn and comes in handy for the baking too! Enjoy your week! If you have a dollie post for Wednesday, let me know. We'll be showing off Halloween dolls, clothing or dolls in our Halloween decor. Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI love Ruby! She looks so pretty in her fall finery. So cute-I've always wanted a Kitchen Aid, but my old stand mixer won't die.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who names things as well. Ernie is her friend the 'walking frame'. Without him she could not do a lot of the things she does. Ruby looks wonderful decked out for autumn.
ReplyDeleteDiana
Love Ruby all dressed for fall. Your sweet yard birds are way cute and I love this vignette. Have a great week my friend. Hug and Blessings, cm
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea to dress up Ruby for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteRuby is definitely around great company!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on facebook but just have to say how beautiful Ruby is, all decked out for fall! I just can't wait to see how she dresses up for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteRuby is gorgeous with her pretty fall accents. I have her sister....lol You have brought beautiful fall accents to your lovely home.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Now why have I never thought to decorate my mixer? :)
ReplyDeleteRuby is ready for Fall! It sounds like being 'dippy' is fun! I want to play! You are so fun, I will have to come up with lots of names I suppose. I will start with my computer, it's a stubborn girl so what's a good name?
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteSuch a beauty. . .your Ruby!!!
Oh, dear friend, we have the same pumpkin!!!
Charming Kitchen vignette!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Now first of all, I have a red mixer, but mine has never looked so good. And second of all, if I had a girl, Ruby was on my short list of names!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea... decorate the mixer instead of storing it, love it! And I love Ruby's red color! The vignette is lovely! :) ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteShelia, I would never have thought of this but it is just great.
ReplyDeleteI love, love your imagination and creative spirit.
Barb :-)
Ruby looks gorgeous!!! Your pumpkin rooster vignette looks beautiful...I'll have to take out my boring white mixer and beautify it!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I love your red mixer. I have a white one.
