Hello, Dear Ones! I want to thank you all who followed along with me on our trip to England. If you missed it and would like to see those posts, just scroll on down through my posts and you'll see them.
Thank you all for your sweet comments.
Needless to say, being gone for almost a month, I'm behind on my Falling around! I'm trying to go a little more simple this year. I've gotten all the dirty clothes washed and put away, the house has been cleaned and now it's time to become Fallen!
I'm almost ashamed to show this too you. I'm talking about cheating! My Staffies were already here and I just gave them a pumpkin to look at and hey, it even matches their little spots!
I put together the floral arrangement this spring. It's staying too and I just poked in three cat tails! :)
Like I said, easy peasy and a bit of cheating. But do I care? No, no, Nannette! I do not care one smidgen.
Then on my olden coat rack I poked up this little Fallen wreath! DONE! It was easy and I like it. Hope you like my cheating Fallen ways too! :)
I'm joining Dwellings for Amaze Me Monday
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Your Cheating Heart
Your cheating heart will make you weep
You'll cry and cry and try to sleep
But sleep won't come the whole night through
Your cheating heart will tell on you
When tears come down like fallin' rain
You'll toss around and call my name
You'll walk the floor the way I do
Your cheating heart will tell on you
Your cheating heart will pine some day
And crave the love you threw away
The time will come when you'll be blue
Your cheating heart will tell on you
When tears come down like fallin' rain
You'll toss around and call my name
You'll walk the floor the way I do
Your cheating heart will tell on you
~ sung by Hank Williams
You'll cry and cry and try to sleep
But sleep won't come the whole night through
Your cheating heart will tell on you
When tears come down like fallin' rain
You'll toss around and call my name
You'll walk the floor the way I do
Your cheating heart will tell on you
Your cheating heart will pine some day
And crave the love you threw away
The time will come when you'll be blue
Your cheating heart will tell on you
When tears come down like fallin' rain

Not cheating at all! Just making things look pretty! That is what decorating things is all about as far as I am concerned! The doggies look very happy with their new decorations! xx
ReplyDeleteOh I think this looks great! I kind of did that this year. Just decorating around the things I have in place seemed like a good idea. Keeping it simple so it's easy to put away is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Im going simple this fall too. Sometimes Im just not in the mood to decorate.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I had not thought of that song in years. I like you easy peasy fall decor.
ReplyDeleteHi Latane! I tried to comment and I was taken to your Google page and couldn't so I hope you will see this. Thank you so much for coming to see me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Fall is looking great at your home! I enjoyed reading about your trip.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! I'm doing a much simpler Fall this year also. If it ever stops raining I'll try to get some photos!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Love it, how fun. I didn't go real fall either, just simple.
ReplyDeleteEverything always looks lovely in your home, Shelia! Very clever use of your Staffordshire dogs and pumpkin. Autumn is my favorite time of year and it sure feels like it this weekend! Enjoy your day! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat ever you do to celebrate is always fun! Sally
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI love the simple Fall decorating. Just my king of style. It's amazing that you've transformed your existing decor. Always loved that song, "Your Cheatin Heart." Now I've got it in my head for the rest of they day.
hugs
Sissie
The cheater way is exactly how I do it too, Sheilia! I see nothing wrong with it. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great to me. Glad you are home. Missed your posts.
ReplyDeleteJudy
The cheater way is the best way, Shelia! I do it, too, because I don't want to take everything off a table or the dining room buffet to decorate for the seasons. I like what I have set up for my everyday vignettes so I try to just add to them. That pumpkin does go so well with your doggies!
ReplyDeleteI saw your posts about your trip to England ~ a dream of mine to do some day. I hope to get a chance this week to sit down and read each one in detail. Do you think 2 weeks was enough time or could you have stayed a little longer?
Not cheating in the least. Just a splash of fall color to an already beautiful scene!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, so glad you are back...safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteYour Fall decorating is lovely. The first picture takes my breath. You still have the touch, sweet one!
Barb ♥

Welcome back to the states, Sheila! :) I enjoyed following along on your trip! I do have to get caught up with the last few... I got behind! Your fall vignette is lovely! The pumpkin coordinates so well with the pumpkin, ...that was smart to pair them together! The first picture of the display is so pretty! Take care! ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteI love how you write, you make me smile. Adding a few Autumnal touches here and there is good. I have more on my hutch than anywhere else. Kathleen in Az
