Falling in the Dining Room

Hello, Dear Ones! I thought I would show you my olden server all decked out for Fall! Like I've said before, I'm going easy peasy this year but I'm still having loads of fun.

I placed one of my tallest tureens on a little glass stand for my centerpiece.
Next came this cute little yard bird couple! Their colors just scream FALL!
I had shown you the milk glass I used on my dining table and I thought I would continue with this cute little milk glass dish and it would finish off this side, with pun'kins of course.
You can see what bad shape the top of this server is in. After last winter, the finish just decided to peel off! It was so cold and the air in our house was so dry that the wood didn't like it! We've got a guy coming to install a humidifier to our furnace/heater so we'll get some moisture in the air this winter.
There you have it...my easy peasy Fallen decorating! :)  You really don't know what an inspiration you all are to me. I used to buy a ton of decorating magazines before I started blogging. Don't need to any more because I have you! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Heatwave

 Whenever I'm with him
Something inside starts to burnin'
And I'm filled with desire
Could it be a devil in me
Or is this the way love's supposed to be?
It's like a heat wave, burnin' in my heart
I can't keep from cryin', it's tearin' me apart
Whenever he calls my name
Soft, low, sweet and plain
I feel right there, I feel that burnin' flame
Has a high blood pressure got a hold on me
Or is this the way love's supposed to be?
It's like a heat wave, burnin' in my heart
I can't keep from cryin', it's tearin' me apart
Ooh, ooh, heat wave
Ooh, ooh, heat wave
Sometimes I stare in space, tears all over my face
I can't explain it, don't understand it
I ain't never felt like this before
Now that funny feelin' has me amazed
I don't know what to do, my head's in a haze
It's like a heat wave, burnin' in my heart
I can't keep from crying, it's tearin' me apart
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, oh yeah
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, oh yeah
I feel it burnin', right here in my heart

  1. The server is so pretty decked out for Fall! I absolutely adore that tureen! I started to buy a magazine last week at the grocery store. At $5, I put that booger right back! I hardly ever buy any either since blogging! Such great inspiration among friends! :) ~Rhonda

  11. Very Fallish and pretty too!! I agree with you, I haven't bought a magazine in years now!! Every now and then I spend a day at B&N with tea and a sweet treat and page through all the new mags. The ease of the computer has really taken over my world!!

About the dryness, sorry for what happened to your buffet. That's unusual. When we lived in the big house when I was married........we had to have a humidifier. However, now in my much smaller home, don't need one. Here's a hint........I use a spray bottle of water and every now and then will spray the carpets around the edges a bit and near the heat vents and it works!!

    Love your new home!!! xoxoxo

  12. Your dining room looks terrific. That is too bad about the top of your buffet though. I hope you won't have too hard of a time refinishing it. We have a humidifier in our home, too. You really need it with the furnace on blowing hot air around. Hope you have a great day- xo Diana
