Hello, Dear Ones! Well, the weather here has really cooled off and the leaves are turning the golden colors of Autumn and falling like huge flakes of snow. If you follow me on Face Book, you may have seen some of the gorgeous snaps I've shown.
I grabbed a basket and went to town poking in faux flowers to make a floral arrangement for my kitchen table. I may have gone a little bit overboard with the flowers. Maybe a bit too much? Regardless, I like it! The sunflowers, mums, cat tails and other Fallen fauxs just speak to me. I even poked in a few veggies on a stem. The artichoke just looks like Fall even though it's around all the time.
The colors of Fall are sitting on my table in the breakfast room and I smile each time I pass by.
Happy Fall, y'all! :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~ ( a little sad song, but I like it)
Autumn Of My Life
In the spring of my life she came to me
She brought sunshine where winter winds had blown
Then I took her for my wife in the spring of my life
And she brought me a joy I'd never known
Then I took her for my wife in the spring of my life
And she brought me a joy I'd never known
And the years, they went by in the spring of my life
And in summer she blessed me with a child
Love continued to grow in the summer of my life
And in every morning sun I saw her smile
And in summer she blessed me with a child
Love continued to grow in the summer of my life
And in every morning sun I saw her smile
But in the autumn of my years I noticed the tears
And I knew that our life was in the past
Though I tried to pretend, I knew it was the end
For the autumn of my life had come at last
And I knew that our life was in the past
Though I tried to pretend, I knew it was the end
For the autumn of my life had come at last
Now what, what do you say to a child of ten?
How do you tell him his daddy's going away?
Do I tell him that I've reached the autumn of my life
And that he'll understand some winter's day
How do you tell him his daddy's going away?
Do I tell him that I've reached the autumn of my life
And that he'll understand some winter's day
Now a rose can't be found on a snow covered ground
And the sun cannot shine through clouds
But I'm richer you see for the years she gave
And I'm content in the autumn of my life
And the sun cannot shine through clouds
But I'm richer you see for the years she gave
And I'm content in the autumn of my life

Im using my fall fauxs right now too. I don't think you have to many flowers in the basket at all, I love the full look. Most of the trees have lost their leaves here already and my heat is on. I think winter is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteSince we moved into this apartment I have been including many faux flowers to create some happy spaces!
ReplyDeleteI do love this Fall arrangement, it is stunning and sings of Fall afternoons.
On another note:) FB reinstated my personal page and let me have my web page!
