Midweek With Marion

Hello, Dear Ones and welcome again to Midweek With Marion! I've been sewing my dainty fingers almost off but first off I want to wish all of my Canadian friends a Happy Canada Day! Woo Hoo!
Okie dokie! Today Marion is sporing a sweet little long sleeved dress. I'm really into combining fabrics right now but I think the outfits are turning out good. What do you think?
This little dress has two lined pockets, one on each side.
I used the same pink fabric for the bodice and the trim on the sleeves.
Marion looks pretty cute in this little dress and we're about to go shopping for more doll clothes patterns! :)
The second view is the little dress I've just made and soon I'll be making the top and slacks.
Well, toodaloo! Marion's is calling for me to hurry! Oh, I'm not sure she'll fit in the car seat! What's a doll mommy to do? ;)
If you'd like to see some more doll clothes cuteness, pop over to my friend Diane's blog "Welcome To Lavender Dreams" she is fantastic with her sewing machine.

Remember to pop back in next week.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

It's So Easy

It's so easy to fall in love
It's so easy to fall in love

People tell me love's for fools
Here I go, breaking all the rules
It seems so easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Yeah, so doggone easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Oh, it seems so easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Yeah, where you're concerned, my heart can learn
(It's so easy, it's so easy, Ooooh)
Oh-oh-oh

It's so easy to fall in love
It's so easy to fall in love

Look into your heart and see
What your love book has set aside for me

It seems so easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Yeah, so doggone easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Oh, it seems so easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Yeah, where you're concerned, my heart can learn
(It's so easy, it's so easy, Ooooh)
Oh-oh-oh

It's so easy to fall in love
It's so easy to fall in love

It seems so easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Yeah, so doggone easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Yeah, it seems so easy
(It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy)
Oh, where you're concerned, my heart can learn
(It's so easy, it's so easy, Ooooh)
Oh-oh-oh

It's so easy to fall in love
It's so easy to fall in love
It's so easy to fall in love
It's so easy to fall in love
It's so easy to fall in love
(Wa-uh-oh)
It's so easy to fall in love

  1. Marion, you are so beautiful in all your new clothes. Love your new dress with all the pretty trim and the pockets are my favorite. Your mom sure knows how to combine fabrics for just the right look. Can't wait to see another new outfit next week.

  8. More fun! What a sweet dress for Marion. You've inspired me - now I want to get dolls for my two little granddaughters to play with so I can make clothes, too. One of these days I will!

  13. Oh her dress is adorable - you did a great job!

You know, if you look at your doll's face really close she looks a lot like the actress Anna Paquin. Her eyes and lip shape is so similar.
