Hope you all had a wonderful blessed Easter. We certainly did.
Here we are posing after church with our little family.
This is Mr. Precious' sister and husband. Look how dear sister in law and I match! We didn't even plan that! We're just so talented. ;)
Our family left and on the same day some of our life long friends came to visit. We took them to the Saratoga race tracks for a little viewing of the horsies.
A man came by and gave us all caps. Oh, by the way, I really don't have clown colored checks but it sure does look like it here! These are phone snaps.
We've been friends for over 40 years! That's a long time. Just to brag on our friends - their daughter was Miss Texas a few years back.
Then the snow melted,YAY! We all went outside and have been enjoying the nice weather.
Then...Kiki had a baby! Yes, she did! Isn't she just a little doll? Mr. Precious is just thrilled to death.
Now when we go RVing we'll just take the baby, named Smartie, and explore. Kiki is compact enough that we can take her almost anywhere but it's work to hook and unhook her to get around. We think this little Smart Car will be the perfect ticket!
I may be a little sporadic in my posting as you can see we have an almost blank canvas to take care of in the back yard. Gotta find out what will grow back here because when the leaves come out on the trees - it will be all shady. Oh, you can see the sunroom. I call it "The Ark" as it looks like half of Noah's ark to me! I'm a very visual kind of gal, you see. :) Well, looking at these photos, I can see the sunroom looks like a big ole bus too. :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Daydream
What a day for a daydreamin' boy
And I'm lost in a daydream
Dreamin' 'bout my bundle of joy
And even if time ain't really on my side
It's one of those days for takin' a walk outside
I'm blowin' the day to take a walk in the sun
And fall on my face on somebody's new mowed lawn
And I'm lost in a daydream
Dreamin' 'bout my bundle of joy
And even if time ain't really on my side
It's one of those days for takin' a walk outside
I'm blowin' the day to take a walk in the sun
And fall on my face on somebody's new mowed lawn
I've been havin' a sweet dream
I been dreamin' since I woke up today
It's starrin' me and my sweet dream
'Cause she's the one that makes me feel this way
I been dreamin' since I woke up today
It's starrin' me and my sweet dream
'Cause she's the one that makes me feel this way
And even if time has passing me by a lot
I couldn't care less about the dues you say I got
Tomorrow I'll pay the dues for droppin' my load
A pie in your face for bein' a sleepy bulltoad
I couldn't care less about the dues you say I got
Tomorrow I'll pay the dues for droppin' my load
A pie in your face for bein' a sleepy bulltoad
And you can be sure that if you're feelin' right
A daydream will last along into the night
Tomorrow at breakfast you may pick up your ears
Or you may be daydreamin' for a thousand years
A daydream will last along into the night
Tomorrow at breakfast you may pick up your ears
Or you may be daydreamin' for a thousand years
What a day for a daydream
Custom made for a daydreamin' boy
And now I'm lost in a daydream
Dreamin 'bout my bundle of joy
Custom made for a daydreamin' boy
And now I'm lost in a daydream
Dreamin 'bout my bundle of joy

Such nice photos of you and your family and friends ! Have fun with your backyard project ..I love to garden !
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, I enjoyed catching up with you and seeing all these nice photos of your family. The little grandkids are growing! What a cute car Smartie is. I'm sure you will enjoy towing her along in your travels and taking her out for a spin as you tour. You have a very nice backyard with lots of potential. There are a lot of shade loving plants out there, hosta being one that gets really big and covers a lot of space. I'm sure you will have fun shopping for some great perennials to fill those spots! It's so nice to see the snow gone and soon everything will be greening up. Blessings. Pam
ReplyDeleteGlad you are having fun!! It is great to see your garden without all of the snow. I am sure that you will have it looking beautiful in not time at all! Have fun on your travels with Smartie!! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the Ark and what a good time you will have adding plants to your back yard. Kiki's baby is a cutie and you will enjoy having her to explore in when you travel. So happy your Easter was nice and seeing your Texan friends. Every time I see a smart car, I picture a wind up switch on the back. So cute, call her Kit! I'm sure shady plants and flowers are on list at the gardening center. Kathleen in Az
ReplyDeleteI love Kiki's baby! The family photos are wonderful! The grandkids are just adorable and growing up too fast!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if plants will emerge from the ground in those beds. It looks like it's been in use before. Hostas are a great shade lover (there are a lot of varieties) and there are a lot more shade loving plants to explore.
