I kept my grandmother's olden lace tablecloth here and poked down my tried and true floral that always seems to make its way back to my piano. Kinda like the old 70s song "Me and Mrs. Jones". Anyway...I'm getting off subject.
I just love these kinds of little couple figurines and thought they would look so cute perched up here.
This little couple is going out for a stroll and I thought they would look sweet under a cloche.
There is nothing like a romantic carriage ride and this little guy is being a perfect little gentleman. Don't you love the little lady's hair doo? I'm growing mine out so I can try to pop it on top of my head too.
My last little couple is just resting in the sunshine, speaking of their love for each other and planning their tomorrows. Just what I'm thinking about too - tomorrows.
Hope you've enjoyed seeing my little piano top vignette. I'm so thankful for today and blessed thinking about my tomorrows.
Mr. Precious took these snaps of our little Chloe Dawns pawprints the day she went to heaven. As the snow has begun to melt, her little tracks are gone. I do believe God is saying, we don't live in the past we live for today and look forward to all of our tomorrows. He leaves us with precious memories but with anticipated hope for tomorrow!

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Tomorrow
The sun will come out tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow
there'll be sun
Just thinkin' about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow 'til there's none
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow
there'll be sun
Just thinkin' about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow 'til there's none
When I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely
I just stick up my chin and grin and say, oh
I just stick up my chin and grin and say, oh
The sun will come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on
'til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away!
So you gotta hang on
'til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away!
When I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely
I just stick up my chin and grin and say oh
I just stick up my chin and grin and say oh
The sun will come out tomorrow
So you got to hang on 'til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow
You're always a day away
So you got to hang on 'til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow
You're always a day away
Tomorrow, tomorrow I love you tomorrow
You're always a day away ...
You're always a day away ...
Oh Shelia, I am so sorry about Chloe. I know how very difficult it is to lose such a beloved pet and companion. May your days get brighter. Your images today bring a cheery start to my day.
ReplyDeleteI so think of you as I, too, have a schnauzer that I am concerned about losing! I hope that you will feel in your heart a desire to give another sweet dog your love and home!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet, sweet snow photo!

Oh, this brought me to tears, Shelia. You are a strong lady and I admire that. What a lucky little dog she was. So many never know the love of a family. Knowing that she was so fortunate will hopefully help you to heal. It has done that for me when losing a family pet. Your post today is very pretty. Sending you a hug. Deb
ReplyDeleteFlowers always look so pretty on top of a piano. Love the sweet song today! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour piano top vignette is absolutely wonderful! So romantic and just right for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
You have a beautiful little scene on your piano. I love figures like that and have several myself.
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful of Mr. Precious to take that picture of the snow. I know it is very special to you. I pray each day gets easier for you.
Hi Shelia, so happy you are feeling a little better. Those darling little tracking in the snow from Chloe Dawn are precious and you will always have this photo. You are right, God has a plan even in loss.
ReplyDeleteLove your piano vignette. So pretty with the flower arrangement and your Victorian figures with the cloches
are so pretty and brighten the winter.
Wishing you a lovely day and prayers for your heart sent above!
xo
Your piano looks stunning and I love all the statues on top. Beautiful vignette!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your husband to take that picture - God does have a plan for all of us and sometimes we don't think that it is right, but in time we understand.
Lots of hugs your way, sweet lady.
Mary
It sounds like you are holding your head high and moving forward. I know Chloe Dawn will never be forgotten but time will do some healing :) Prayers and Hugs for you
ReplyDeleteOh darling Shelia....my heart is broken for you. It takes a long, long time to get used to life without our beloved pets. I know there is an emptiness, but do take comfort knowing she is in heaven..playing and romping as she always did. Big warm hugs!
ReplyDeleteShe crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and is patiently awaiting your arrival one day.

What a beautiful post...love the vignette on your piano...that scrunched up lace tablecloth makes it so appealing to the eye. And the pic of little Chloe's footprints went straight to my heart! Looking forward to tomorrow should really help to take away some of the sadness away :)
ReplyDeleteYour figurines are lovely! I have a small collection in a curio cabinet in my piano room. I enjoy them so much.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol

ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteYour couple figurines are charming atop your baby grand, dear friend!!!
I love the saying,"Dogs leave paw prints on our hearts."
How thoughtful of "Mr. Precious". . .
Fondly,
Pat
I'm so sorry to hear about Chloe.
ReplyDeleteYour piano top vignette is wonderful. I think my Mom has that carriage figurine too!
Your piano top looks awesome - and I love the pic of the footprints. That's so neat.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
I am so sorry to hear of your lose. I have been with out a laptop for a week and a half. Mine decided to die on me during my busiest week. I love the picture of her paw prints. They would look beautiful in a little frame.
ReplyDeleteThe little figurines are so pretty. They remind me of the design on some plates my mom had years ago. My grandmother had a lot of figurines too. Seems like she had some like that.
ReplyDeleteThe pawprints in the snow, so sweet. Hugs to you.
I can see you are getting your groove back with focusing on some pretties. Every little bit helps. Sweet Chloe Dawn I truly believe is with you -- you just can't see or touch her. But she's there. With you.
ReplyDeleteOh. dear lady! I envy you for your strength. I truly know how much you loved Chloe Dawn...I've followed you, been a friend of yours for so long. The paw prints in the snow just break my heart. You are able to see the bright side of that...you have the right idea. I fell apart. My dogs are now 9 and 11. Each day I tell myself to appreciate them for every moment I have with them.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs to you.
Jane xxxx
Love your figurines, so pretty! Happy you have the picture of footprints in the snow...what a treasure. Glad things are getting a little easier with each new day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Sorry about your pup, Sheila. That's one reason why we don't have one of our own. I couldn't bear it if something happened to it. Anyway, your little figurines look really cute up there on your piano. That song, 'Tomorrow', always reminds me of my son when he was nine years old. He used to sing it over and over again. That went on for months. It got so it started to become annoying but now it just makes me smile at the memory. Wish he was nine years old again!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Your vignette is lovely. I love the shot of the paw prints and your sentiment.
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful to hear from you.
- Alma, The Tablescaper
Beautiful vignette with the precious figurines. The photo of the paw prints is heartbreaking!
ReplyDeleteYour vignette with all of the happy couples and your story about them is lovely as are your flowers..
ReplyDeleteChloe Dawn's paw prints are precious in the snow.. Maybe you could have that picture framed ? Our pets are such sweet gifts and like flowers they are only with us for such a short period of time. Thank goodness we have time to help to ease the pain of losing something or someone precious to us.
The sun will come out tomorrow for sure. Love that song !
Charlotte in Virginia
HI Charlotte and thank you so much for your sweet words. Hope you're doing well.
DeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh, the paw print picture is such a sweet memory to have. Such a loved little sweetheart. I am glad you are letting some joy back in your heart. Jane
ReplyDeleteHugs to you dear Sheila. I didn't know until now, I am sure no matter what, Chloe knew she was loved, and I think that is the most important... I love your vignette, so fun and definitely perfect for the piano!
ReplyDeleteHello Shelia, I was so happy to see your sweet comment today. You are right, we must live each day as it comes even though your heart is sad. Time does help.
ReplyDeleteYour vignette is sweet and made me smile. Your piano is beautiful and this is just what it needs to keep the dust off. Big smile here.
Stay warm and I can't wait to see what you crocheted.
Love, Jeanne
Hello sweet lady! Thanks for dropping by my house, I love your visits. Your vignette is gorgeous and I love the beautiful cloches. Just today I was thinking that I'd like to put something pretty inside a couple of big cloches I have, but I can't think of anything after looking at your gorgeous figurines! Your piano looks so elegant and inviting now. I'd love to sit and listen to you play it.
ReplyDeleteThe paw print picture is so sweet, wish I had thought of that for Ben, our beloved pug that died almost 4 years ago. I hope you are feeling better and smiling a little more lately; as losing a beloved fury baby is the worst!
Enjoy your weekend.
FABBY
The sweetest story, and an inspiration, about the paw prints. So true. I needed to hear this today, and here are your words. Thank you. Your piano looks lovely, and the figurines tell a story.
ReplyDeleteSheilia, your vignette on your piano is so darling! I love the precious couple figurines. Funny thing, I don't have a single one. Wondering why? lol! The statement that you said at the end is so true and what a wonderful positive attitude you have!! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I'm your newest follower. I love the cheerfulness of your home and blog and now I'm hooked. I wish I could tell you it gets easier when you lose a pet, but my dog Ginger passed 24 years ago and every week I think about her and often feel such sorrow. I have not been able to allow myself to adopt another dog and I think that I should have long ago. Hoping you will spring back faster than I have. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila, just hopping back to let you know that I will be featuring you at SYC this week.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
