Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time

Hello, Dear Ones! I pray y'all had a marvelous Christmas! I have to tell you that we certainly did. We rose early, packed the car with all of the presents from our house and drove the long distance of three miles to our daughter's house for Christmas! :)
Here was her tree with all of the presents stowed underneath. Our son in law made us breakfast - pancakes - and he is a great pancake cooker.
So the little children had to wait until after breakfast to dig into the packages. Felt a little sorry for them. :( But they were both so patient. Here little Campie is still mesmerized by the Christmas ornies.
I thought this was so cute. My daughter gave me a solid milk chocolate candy camera - being a blogger and all! :) I must tell you, it didn't survive because I ate it! Every little milk chocolate morsel of it! ;)
Campie was loving Christmas and it was so much fun seeing him trying to open presents. Here he's taking a break resting on mom's leg.
What a complete mess! But Mr. Precious came to the rescue with a huge trash bag! :)
I just had to show you this one. There was so much 'stuff' on the floor - papers, ribbons and such, Campie somehow acquired a ribbon tail. I promise no one put this on him. He didn't have a clue he had a tail! :)
I know these snaps are not the best as I was so excited to be with these little ones, but I just wanted to share a little of our joy with you!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

The Day After Christmas

Here comes the letdown Christmas is over
Here comes the meltdown, there goes the cheer
But before we have a breakdown, let us remember
The light of the world is still here

Happy day after Christmas
And merry rest of the year
Even when Christmas is over
The light of the world is still here
The light of the world

Come January I’m ready for summer
The Super Bowl’s over and I’ll settle for spring
Sometimes we all need a change in the weather
But it won’t change the reason we sing

Happy day after Christmas
And merry rest of the year
Even when Christmas is over
The light of the world is still here
The light of the world
The light of the world
The light of the world

So take down the stockings, take back the sweaters
Take down the lights and the star and the tree
But don’t let this world take your joy after Christmas
Take joy to the world and just sing

Happy day after Christmas
And merry rest of the year
Even when Christmas is over
The light of the world is still here

  1. These snaps ARE the best, for they are of a happy family, spending sweet Christmas morning moments together. Your grands are adorable, and your daughter's tree looks so lovely with all the beautifully wrapped gifts around it.

  4. It looks like all of you had a delightful time together. After that LONG trip, you must have been famished, so I'm certain those pancakes must have tasted extra-good. Love the chocolate camera, too! The children look so happy both because it was Christmas and there were so many paretty presents AND that you and Mr. Precious were there! Merry Christmas ♥

  6. It's such fun to be with our little ones on Christmas Day. I'm so glad you could make the 'big' trip to their house and join the fun. I hope to finally share my Christmas decor before it's all put away. Life has taken so many twists and turns - all good - through the holidays. Helping my dear, little mother has been a priority and my things have to wait a bit at times, but we had a great time celebrating the season. Lots of precious memories.

  10. Makes that move all worthwhile, doesn't it, Shelia! : ) We are about 3 miles from our granddaughter, too, and went over Christmas afternoon with food, dessert and loads of presents. We made several trips back and forth to the car just to get it all in. And, of course, the little rip asks me if there is anymore presents after she opened them all! Lots of fun!
