Hello, Dear Ones. I have some sad news to share with you today. Do you know Candy Fagerlin who blogs at The Little Round Table? Some of you may have already known this. Well, she had told us she had cancer and did not post much any more. Here is that post. From time to time, I would pop in to check on her. This morning before church, the Lord put her on my heart. I went to her blog and one of the commenters said this:
According to Mark, the owner of the website "LaurelHollowPark.net", Candy has passed away from cancer.
I felt her fans would want to know. She will be missed."
I also went to her Facebook page and her daughter announced Candy had passed away October 31.

I also went to her Facebook page and her daughter announced Candy had passed away October 31.

Her blog is still up and if you didn't know her, she shared lovely tablescapes with Fiesta dishes of all sorts that she collected along with gorgeous vintage tablecloths. She was a wonderful photographer too with the most amazing kitchen. It looks like there are lots of spam comments on her last post.
I just wanted to share this with you to pray for her family and friends. We'll miss you, Candy.
Blessings,
Shelia
Thank you for letting us know. My deepest sympathy to her family.

ReplyDeleteAw, I didn't know her but will pray for her family. I have often wondered what would happen to my online presence if I died suddenly. It seems like I need an online contact in my will or something.

Oh I loved her tablescapes, they were so beautiful and she was such a lovely person. Thanks for letting us know. Praying.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know. She did create such wonderful tablescapes and always had her fabulous kitchen as a backdrop. One of the nice things about her having had a blog is that we can still think of her when one of her pics appears on Pinterest or elsewhere on the 'net. Saying prayers for her family...
ReplyDeleteSo sad to hear. I've often wondered how we would know when our blogging friends met with tragedy or death. Prayers for this family and so many who know loss during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies and prayers for her family..
ReplyDeleteI will ask for a cure for that horrible disease in my Christmas wishes, as I do every year..
Oh Shelia, this is so sad. After I saw her blog, I remembered I used to look at her posts because she linked to Tablescape Thursday a lot. And I remember that amazing kitchen, as well. This is such a sad, heartbreaking thing to happen; I really appreciate you caring enough to let everyone know about Candy.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, Shelia.

I used to visit Candy's blog all the time. I wondered what became of her. Thank you so much for letting us know, Sheila. God bless and comfort her family!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
So sad, I didn't know her, but I feel for you, we are like a small family here in the blog world and knowing one fellow blogger passing away is a big loss.... hugs to you Shelia and prayers for Candy's family
ReplyDeleteVery sad. I enjoyed her posts and feel like each and every person that posts is a personal friend. :(
ReplyDeleteIt's always sad to lose one of our own, isn't it? I didn't know Candy -- pity. With my Fiesta collection and her passion for it, I suspect we would have had much to share and much in common. Hugs, Shelia -- and to Candy's family, condolences.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am saddened by this news......she was a delightful gal!!! Gee its been a month since she passed, thanks Sheila for letting us know. She had posted a few times in late summer/early fall, and I had sent her notes at that time. This disease took her quickly, she had not been ill for very long.
ReplyDeleteShe had also written books on collecting tablecloths........and what a marvelous kitchen!!! Now she is a shining star in our blog family.......prayers and blessings to her family and friends....Cleo
That is sad.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know her..so sorry for her loved ones.
ReplyDeleteI remember when a very sweet blogger died several years back and it was like losing a real friend.
I hate cancer sooooo much.
Awl, doggone it.
ReplyDeleteI remember her kitchen.
It's funny, here I am crying - yes, blogging is a close tie - at least most - some blogs are so special and personal (like yours, for example.) Whew. May she rest in peace.
Thanks for letting us know. Hugs.
WE MUST FIND A CURE FOR THIS DREADED DISEASE, AND NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This makes me so sad. She was caring for her husband after he had heart trouble (before she knew she had cancer) and her posting slowed down and featured some things they were doing for heart-healthy eating. I always looked forward to hearing how she was doing even though it was quite a bit of time between postings. I'm with Michele above - shedding tears for Candy. Thank you for letting us know, Shelia.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, Such sad news! I did not know Candy, but so sorry to read of her passing. May God be with her loved ones and may she rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you xo
Oh how sad. I absolutely loved her blog and her flair for decorating! She was such an inspiration to many of us. Thank you for letting us know of her passing. Yes, may she rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteSo very, very sad....my thoughts and prayers go out to her family!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear this. I remember her well, but a lot of bloggers disappear from from time to time, myself included, so it hadn't really registered. I am so sorry for her family, and hope they find peace. I think one of the commenters was onto something when she said we need a designated cyber contact in case of something like this. You are so sweet to let us know.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know your bloggy friend, but I am so sorry for your sadness and that of her family. xx
ReplyDeleteAlthough I didn't know her or her blog, this is still so very sad. My sympathy and prayers for her family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us know Shelia, I follow her blog, even have it on my blog list on my blog. But have not checked tit out since around August of this year. I did post a comment saying that she was in my prayers and thoughts after her announcement about her illness. My heart goes out to her family, her talent will be so missed.
ReplyDeleteVery sad ... prayers for her family!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to be reading this...she sure knew how to set a nice table! RIP Candy.
ReplyDeleteThis caught my eye just as I was posting a comment on your latest blog post. I am so sorry to hear that. She was such an inspiration and created the most beautiful tables. Life is so uncertain isn't it? Thanks for passing this along.
ReplyDeleteThat is so truly sad, and I appreciate that you shared this. I followed her blog early on when I first started blogging, and attribute her with getting me started with FiestaWare. She had such a beautiful collection of the dishes and linens. She certainly knew how to pull out all the stops on setting a beautiful table. She will be missed.
