I've Fallen in New York!

Hello, Dear Ones! I'm so excited to show you a little Fall at my new/old house. I was so tired of unpacking boxes and decided to take a break and PLAY! One of my favorite things to do! :)
You saw our newly chopped front yard and I had the perfect place to set up a little Fallen vignette!
Right where that huge bush or tree was!
Isn't this cute? Just couldn't do too much in south Texas for Fall on the outside of our house because it was too hot and the pumpkins would rot. But it's cool enough here to go to town.
First of all, look at this darling little scarecrow couple. You know that's Mr. Precious and me!
Then this is my very first ever white pumpkin! Are these called ghost pumpkins? I love it.
More pumpkins, a little bale of hay and two yellow mums. The mums aren't quite open yet but they will be gorgeous as soon as they completely open their little eyes! I'm so excited, y'all! Can you tell?
One more peep at the darling couple.

Of course if you know me...my middle name if FUN! I just had to play a bit!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I come home in the morning light
My mother says when you gonna live your life right
Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones
And girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun

The phone rings in the middle of the night
My father yells what you gonna do with your life
Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one
But girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls - they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun

Some boys take a beautiful girl
And hide her away from the rest of the world
I want to be the one to walk in the sun
Oh girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls - they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun,
They want to have fun,
They want to have fun...

  5. This reminded me that out of the handful of times I've moved, two of those times were right around Halloween! I also had to climb over boxes and pull out a few decorations. Something about the fall just makes us want to nest a little more!

  17. Love that you "fallen", and your mums and pumpkins will last longer in cooler weather. My favorite pic is, of course, your sweet smile with those "not-so-scary-scarecrows"

  19. Happy Fall dear Sheila!!! I love your front all decorated for FALL!!! Here's a little hint for pumpkins. If you have squirrels (or any other critter) that might want to snack on them, you can put Vaseline on them and they will leave them alone. Also if they tend to rot, you can wash them in bleach before you put them out and they last alot longer!!! Hope this helps, since you are new to the north:):):) You look darling in the picture!!!

  20. Oh Shelia, so glad that you have moved in and getting settled. Your Fall vignette in the yard is really cute and I bet Carter loves it. Your house looks so much better without the trees, now you can really see how pretty it is.
    Have a wonderful weelend.

  36. So glad to see you adjusting to your new life in NY, Sheila! Your house looks so pretty and I know you will have fun fixing it up the way you like it. I know what a BIG JOB moving is --we diod the move from NYC to a suburb of Denver, Colorado. My daughter had her baby girl a month after we moved in and it has been a happy whirlwind since, as I babysit for her and my son-in-law when they are working. That was almost 20 months ago and there are still boxes I haven't sorted through yet, but no rush --life is all about family and enjoying time together. My son also lives nearby with his family so his two boys also have kept us busy. Best of luck with your new home!
