I'm Still Here!

Hello, Dear Ones!
Have you forgotten about me? I have been posting my little Barbie Mondays that I had put together long before but this post is for real.
As I had shared with you all before, we took the looooooooooooong rode trip to upstate New York, signed the papers on our house and we're in the house now! Just got internet hooked up but we don't have our furniture yet. We borrowed daughter's air mattress to sleep on and brought a few things in the Uhaul that was pulled behind Kiki - so we're living minimal at the moment.

Now I knew I would have to clean up this house, but darlings, this was just the dirtiest house you've ever seen. I don't want to even remind myself of it again! I'm still cleaning after almost 2 weeks!! We did hire a painter to transform the walls. Hallelujah!! Lord, we could have never have done all of the work ourselves. The yucky wallpaper was stuck tighter than a girdle on a fat lady! Yes, ma'am, it was. But it is coming together slowly. We were wanting the walls to be painted before the moving van comes in a few days. Don't know if we'll make it or not. Mr. Precious and I will be painting a few rooms to help.

My life is complete as I'm getting to see my little grandchildren every day. My daughter and son-in-law have been such a tremendous help to us in so many ways. (they know we're going to be baby setting those little dolls)! The weather is just beautiful here and the mosquitoes are tiny! :)

So I don't have anything to show you today but wanted you to know how I appreciate you visiting my Barbie Mondays, even though you didn't get a reply from me. Please know I'll read all of the comments and when I start officially blogging again, I will be all over your blogs! :)

I've missed you all so much as you are such a big part of my life.

I did want to show you something. Carter put together a tablescape this morning just for me.
Her mommy emailed me the snaps this morning so I could share them with you! My little sweetie - a little doll after my own heart!
Nothing like a little Minnie and Mickey to start your day off right!

Just know I'll be back to blogland when we get more settled. I'm as tired as an old dog but I'm taking my vitamins. I'll be passing on a Note Song this morning, but please keep the love singing in your hearts and know I LOVE YOU ALL!!

You are my bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

  18. I just assumed you and Mr Precious were flat out with the move and (painting) etc etc. Can't wait for a lovely series of photos though. I have no doubt in my mind that you would have wielded some pure magic in this house. :)
I still say (again and again) that you and Carter came out of the same pod!

  20. Hi Sweet Shelia, So glad you are in the house now and getting settled. I was so thrilled to see your post today. I know you are tired and have much work ahead, but pace yourself and break when you can. You and Mr. Precious are going to make your new home gorgeous. I understand the cleaning part. When we moved to our house 18 years ago, I had major cleaning to do as well. So glad you are getting the painting done before the movers arrive. Carter's tablescape is beautiful. She takes right after her talented grandmom!! Texas misses you but so happy you are in your new home safe and sound.
Have a great weekend. Don't work too hard.
    Hugs and Blessings

  24. "Tighter than a girdle on a fat lady," what a colorful expression! I can see the scene of my mama (who was what we called "plump" like me) pulling on her girdle! I do hate to get wallpaper off. When I redid my kitchen, I said NEVER again! Love that sweet girl's tablescape!
