Barbie Mondays - Colorful Slacks Set and Gown

Hello Dear Ones and welcome again to Barbie Mondays. Hope you're enjoying seeing the cute clothes I've made for little Carter's Barbie dolls.
Okay, today I'm showing you a cute little slacks set out of a very groovy fabric.
I added some lace to the bottom of the top.
Then I added a little lace to the hems of her slacks legs.

I've used this little top pattern and pants pattern (thanks to Lynnie over at Happier Than A Pig In Mud) over and over and they always look cute. Just add a little lace and it will have a different look.
Can you tell I was having almost as much fun staging my Barbie as making her clothes?

Then I got out my crochet hooks and realized I had packed all of my yarn! We're moving you know. :)
So,,, I trotted over to JoAnn's and picked up a few skeins. This is what I came up with. I was pleased as punch and thought it turned out pretty cute.
So Barbie wouldn't get a chill, I also made her a cape, complete with a little flower, to keep her tiny shoulders warm.
Isn't that little crocheted flower so cute?
I even made a little hat. Now this Barbie has the wrong hair style to pull of wearing this hat but you get the idea.

Hope you're enjoying seeing all of the little Barbie clothes. Again, I just had a ball!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Cold As Ice

You're as cold as ice
You're willing to sacrifice our love

You never take advice
Someday you'll pay the price
I know

I've seen it before
It happens all the time
You're closing the door
You leave the world behind
You're digging for gold
Yet throwing away
A fortune in feelings
But someday you'll pay

You're as cold as ice
You're willing to sacrifice our love
You want Paradise
But someday you'll pay the price
I know

I've seen it before
It happens all the time
You're closing the door
You leave the world behind
You're digging for gold
Yet throwing away
A fortune in feelings
But someday you'll pay

Cold as ice, you know that you are
Cold, cold, as, as, ice, as cold as ice to me
Cold, cold, as, as, ice

Ooh, ooh, ooh, cold as, cold as ice
You're as cold as ice
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know
You're as cold as ice, yes I know
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know
You're as cold as ice, oh yes I know
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know
You're as cold as ice, oh yes I know
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice

  1. Clever you! Love the '60s fabric for Barbie's Hippie mood - and that cute crochet gown and cape. I've always thought it was just as hard to sew something for Barbie as it would be for a big person, because everything's so TINY. Sweet.

  5. Have you ever seen the sign that says, "I hate Barbie, that B*!# has everything!" - Well, it's a little off - color for me, but a little bit true when I see these adorable outfits! This is one lucky doll.
