Another Little Treasure

Hello, Dear Ones! Well, I have served my jury duty as it ended today - a hung jury. I've been going to the court house since Monday of last week! I'm tired, y'all! It was my first time to be a juror and it was an experience but it was very hard!! Don't want to do that for a while. Any hoo...

On our travels I popped into a little thrift shop and found that darling little scale!
 Now I have three - that's a collection! :)
You can see I'm milking my Rooster wallpaper, can't you? I'll milk it for just a little while more as we'll be leaving Galveston about mid August and driving to New York! Yay! Mr. Precious will be driving Kiki pulling a Uhaul trailer and I'll be following in my Jeep. When the time comes, I would really appreciate your prayers.
You've seen my chick but just in case you haven't, here she is in all of her glory.
Look at the little scale! Isn't it cute? I thought it looked a little like an old clock. The little weight plate kinda wiggles a bit so I'll have to be careful what I poke up on it. I was very careful with my chick.
Just wanted to share with you my little scale who will go with me to New York. Now I've got to make up the time packing up more things since I was off being a juror! No matter what, we just couldn't say "off with his head"!  That was the Queen of Hearts, wasn't it? :) I'm a little goofy at the moment.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Treasure of Love

The treasure of love is easy to find
It's waiting for you if your heart isn't blind
The treasure of love is not very far
It glows like a fire and it shines like a star

It's stronger than diamonds, worth more than gold
This is a treasure that never grows old
The treasure of love is found on no chart
To find where it is, just look in your heart

It's stronger than diamonds, worth more than gold
This is a treasure that never grows old
The treasure of love is found on no chart
To find where it is, just look in your heart

  1. Shelia, I've been gone longer than you have, but somehow I thought about you tonight and decided to pop over and see what was going on - all great news that you're traveling in Kiki and moving to New York!!! Bet Carter is so excited and the baby too - and mostly YOU are excited! I'm really happy for you, it's going to be great.
Love you, Mary (no longer blogging)

  2. I don't think they ever select anyone for jury duty when they are bored and want something to do. I'm sure your head must be swimming with all the details you are tending to at the moment.

But remember, no matter how busy you are, keep shopping for treasures to show us!

  3. You're moving and they caught you before you got out of the state, Sheila! : ) I had to do jury duty once but I wasn't chosen. I still had to sit around for 3 days before I even got to the point of being excused. I'll bet you are so excited. How long a drive will it be? I know from Ohio (near Dayton where we are) to Long Island is about 12 hours drive. Of course, our prayers will be with you when you set off on your journey. I'll bet you can't wait!

  4. Oh Shelia, I'll bet you're so excited about your move, you can't sit still no matter how tired you are!! I'm so happy for you - being able to move to NY to be with your family...and grands! Praying for you now while you're packing and getting things arranged for the move and will continue to pray for you throughout the trip to NY.

I've never served on a jury, although I've been called more than a dozen times since I moved to Michigan in 2005. (Never called my entire adult life in Wisconsin!) Having the spiritual gift of Discernment has caused me concern, causing me to seek being excused. When I send the letter to the Courts, explaining my reason for seeking to be excused, I always have been. If I were to have any Godly wisdom given to me during a trial, I would have a difficult, and maybe even an impossible, time finding someone guilty or not guilty simply based on the evidence.

    Hugs,
    Jan

  6. Hi Shelia, love the scale and your chick graces it well. So glad your jury duty is over. I had to go twice but was not picked. It was a long day in waiting however. Now your adventure really begins and I am so excited for you to be moving and be with your grands. I know you have lots of packing to do and preparing but the trip is so worth it.
My prayers are with you for a great trip and move to your new home.
    God Bless!!
    Hugs

  8. LOL milking the wallpaper! That's a cute piece :-) I've done jury duty once, called in a 2nd time for another but didn't get selected so I didn't have to stay. It's an interesting process. I guess you got your home in NY- prayers for your safe trip out there. I hope you love it- I know it's going to be a bit of adjustment but with family close by and the beauty of the East Coast to explore I imagine you'll be enjoying it!

  17. I'm glad that you have ended your jury service so that you can move on to other things now! Your new scales will probably be your last or one of your last finds from Texas before you move, so they will be a good memory of your time I hope. xx
