Hello, Dear Ones.
Well, I have my tree up and decorated!
Yay!
We always put the 9' tree in our 2 story entry right by the stairs.
I've always thought ~ this house was built for the Christmas tree spot. :)
I poked an olden angel on top of the tree this year instead of an explosion.
I don't think you can tell, but her right wing is gone!
She seems okay with that so I am too.
For the last couple of years I've used Deco Mesh on my tree. I really do love that stuff but just didn't want to use it this year. So I just poked every Christmas ball I could unwrap on my tree and some gold beaded garland.
No special color. No special theme. Just a tall tree with lots of colorful balls on it.
Had to show you a snap with the lights turned off.
Now I'm laying down on the floor pointing my camera up at my tree.
You believe that, right? ;)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Deck The Halls With Boughs of Holly
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis' the season to be jolly,

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tree! And I thought my tree was tall!
I only had a themed tree once. That was fun but I think all my other ornaments were lonely. :(
Taken from the floor? Yes, I believe we bloggers would hang from the ceiling to get a good pic!

So pretty Shelia! I haven't used the deco mesh yet. It will go out of vogue the minute I try- I guarantee it!! Ha ha! I did the same thing with my ornaments. I put all my favorites up and didn't worry so much about a theme of coloring. Your Angel looks fine (wing and all)! I think you are right- the home was built for the Christmas tree spot!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is gorgeous Shelia. I love the ornaments and gold beads and think it looks beautiful. Enjoy your tree. I have mine on today as it's a cloudy and gloomy day. I need something to cheer up the place. Hugs, Pamela

Your tree is really beautiful, Shelia! It is the perfect size for your entryway. Do you climb a ladder to decorate it?
ReplyDeleteI hardly see your gorgeous tree when you tempt me so with THE STAIRCASE. I've mentioned and ooohed and aaaahed over that staircase so many times - and particularly remember the history you gave me of the house, as you know it. It really really is something that staircase!
