With A Saddened Heart

Hello, Dear Ones.
It is with a sad heart that I'm writing this post.
I have delayed in posting about my little mother because my daughter sometimes reads my blog. She just had little Camp a week ago and he has had to have a small  procedure done (he's fine now) and we felt she was just too tender emotionally to know about my mother. We told her today.

If you follow me on Facebook you know my little 90 mother fell and broke her hip. There was pressure to decide whether she should have a half hip replacement. We decided there was no other option for her. Then on with the surgery. While she was being prepped for surgery she stopped breathing. They placed a breathing tube in her throat and more life saving decisions had to be made. She has had a massive heart attack and then yesterday she said she was hungry and ate jello and soup. She is breathing now with the little nasal oxygen tube in her nose.

She is in ICU and is critical but she is being cared for and is comfortable.
I want to thank you all of your prayers. I really have a peace about everything. My mother is a christian and has walked with the Lord a long time. I have the promise she will be with Jesus immediately when she leaves this earth and I feel it will be soon. She is in God's hands and He will take her when He wills.
I'm so thankful for each day that I can tell her I love her and hear her tell me she loves me too.

Now I don't want to leave you sad so let me share a little story with you. Little Camp was born before mother fell and we keep showing her pictures of him. In her mind I am the one who has given birth! :) She told me today, "You don't look like you've had a baby." She also can't understand why I just don't go and get him. "You are going to go bring him home aren't you?" she said. I told her it was my daughter who had the baby and she said, "Oh, that's why she's nursing him?" I told her yes. I wouldn't be able to nurse the baby. She just smiled and said, "You are just a little too old."

So in the midst of the waiting and wondering, there is always something that can make us smile.

I am going to take a blog break so I can be there for my mother. I do feel as if I'm in limbo right now - kinda numb but I do feel at peace knowing God is in control.

I love you all and thank you for your prayers and would ask you to continue praying for us.

You are always my sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I Will Rise

There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

Falling on the Dining Room Table

Hello, Dear Ones.
Well I decided to tackle the table in the dining room
and came up with a simple little centerpiece.

I'm trying to go a little bit more simple this year!
Yeah, I know you're laughing...I'm not saying "I'm simple"! :)
I maybe just a little.
I tossed down an old doily made by little grandmother, grabbed my favorite white pitcher, poked some fauxs in it and poked down some pun'kins!
 Done!
Nothing like a little falling on the dining room table!

Hope you're all doing well and you're falling around all over your house too!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Sheila ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Peaceful, Easy Feeling

I like the way your sparkling earrings lay,
against your skin so brown
and I wanna sleep with you
in the desert tonight
with a billion stars all around
'cause I got a peaceful easy feeling
and I know you won't let me down
'cause I'm already standing on the ground

And I found out a long time ago
what a woman can do to your soul
Ah, but she can't take you anyway
You don't already know how to go
and I got a peaceful, easy feeling
and I know you won't let me down
'cause I'm already standing on the ground

I get this feeling I may know you
as a lover and a friend
but this voice keeps whispering
in my other ear, tells me
I may never see you again
'cause I got a peaceful, easy feeling
and I know you won't let me down
'cause I'm already standing ...
'I'm already standing...
"yes, I'm already standing on the ground
oooo, oooo

My Mantel Has Fallen

Hello, Dear Ones.
I've been falling around some at the house and wanted to show you my mantel.
I just love the bright colors of Fall, don't you?
I love the bright oranges, golds, yellows and greens of the season ~
even though it 87' degrees outside and a zillion percent humidity.
Well, just never mind that because I've cranked the air conditioning down to a cool 73' and I'm loving it! ;)

I found these two little bakety thingys a while back at a thrift shop. I didn't like the way they looked ~ dark brown and rusty looking. So I grabbed some spray paint and went to town.
I like them much better now. Can you see the little birds on the top tiers?
I hung a Fallen wreath over the mirror, poked down some pumpkins and garlands and my mantel was done.
Maybe I should have lit the fireplace for you.
With the air conditioning cranked down it would be just fine. :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Autumn Song

Leaves of brown they fall to the ground
And it's here, over there leaves around
Shut the door, dim the lights and relax
What is more, your desire or the facts

Pitter patter the rain falling down
Little glamor sun coming round
Take a walk when autumn comes to town

Little stroll past the house on the hill
Some more coal on the fire will do well
And in a week or two it'll be Halloween
Set the page and the stage for the scene

Little game the children will play
And as we watch them while time away
Look at me and take my breath away yeah

You'll be smiling eyes beguilding
And the song on the breeze
Will call my name out and your dream

Chestnuts roasting outside as you walk
With your love by your side
The old accordion man plays mellow and bright
And you go home in the crispness of the night

Little later friends will be along
And if you feel like joining the throng
Just might feel like singing Autumn song
Just may feel like singing Autumn song

You'll be smiling
Eyes beguilding
And the song on the breeze
Calls my name out in your dream

Chestnuts roasting outside
As you walk with your love by your side
And the old accordion plays mellow and bright
And you go home in the crispness of the night

Crocheted Baby Blanket

Hello, Dear Ones.
Well, we've decided to go ahead and wait two weeks to fly out and see our little new grandbaby.
We had already purchased our tickets way in advance and it costs so dog gone much to change them.
So, this will give little Camp a chance to learn how to nurse and Carter the time to settle down about having a baby brother.
At first I had a hard time about not going NOW but I've prayed and the Lord has given me such a peaceful calmness that I know it's the right thing to do.
My daughter and son-in-law's church are bringing a meal every day for two weeks!
God is so good!

Okay, on with the show...
I didn't want you to think I had left little Sweet Pea out
when it came to handmade gifts.
No, siree!
I crocheted Sweet Pea a little baby blanket.
Those are a pair of my little baby shoes from almost 62 years ago!
Man, I'm getting old!

Now don't get too impressed because the blanket is just a big big granny square and this is how I make all my baby blankets.
I found this sweet fluffy almost spongy yarn to use.
I didn't know what sex Sweet Pea was going to be when I made this but now I see it will be just fine.

I didn't measure but the blanket is quite large and I finished it off with a pretty shell border.
So, I'll be looking forward to wrapping up and telling little Sweet Pea
how I made this blanket just for ?? him or her.
Now I know we have a little him! :)

Thank you all so much for your sweet wishes about our little grandbaby.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Baby I'm Yours

 Baby I'm yours
And I'll be yours until the stars fall from the sky
Yours until the rivers all run dry
In other words, until I die
Baby I'm yours
And I'll be yours until the sun no longer shines
Yours until the poets run out of rhyme
In other words, until the end of time
I'm gonna stay right here by your side
Do my best to keep you satisfied
Nothing in this world can drive me away
'Cause every day you'll hear me say
Baby I'm yours
And I'll be yours until two and two is three
Yours until the mountain crumbles to the sea
In other words, until eternity
Baby I'm yours
Till the stars fall from the sky
Baby I'm yours
Till the rivers all run dry
Baby I'm yours
Till the poets run out of rhyme
Baby I'm yours

~ sung by Barbara Lewis

Here's Little Camp

Hello, Dear Ones!
I just couldn't wait to show you little Camp!
Carter is so excited to have a little brother.
She told us this morning, "I have a new baby brother and HER name is Camp. She's a boy! Sweet Pea is a boy!"
She told her mommy that when Sweet Pea gets through being a boy she'll be a girl.
Carter has her own ideas! :)

Our daughter did beautifully on the delivery of little Camp.
Her contractions started around 4 pm and he was born at 5:50 pm.
Camp weighed 7 lb and 6 oz and is 21 inches long.
He was two weeks early and God is so good - if Camp had continued to grow for two weeks, my daughter may have had a difficult time in delivery.
Thank you, Lord.

We're not sure yet when we'll leave as we have already purchased our tickets for two weeks away! :)
Argh! :)

My love to you all,
Shelia :)

Sweet Pea Has Entered the World!

Dear Ones!
I have such wonderful news!
Our son-in-law just called and little Sweet Pea has just entered the world - 2 weeks early!
My daughter called me this afternoon and said something is happening!
We have a little boy named Camp Ward Klein and he's perfect.
We don't know how much he weighs yet and haven't seen any snaps
but we'll be on our way probably tomorrow.

Thank you all for going along on this wonderful ride with me.
When I get some snaps I'll share with you.

Say a prayer for our daughter as she gets some rest and for us as we leave to be with our little family.

You all are always my bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'm Falling

Hello, Dear Ones!
Well, I decided I needed to start Falling around the house a little so I started in the kitchen.
I am still sewing but thought I'd give you a break from seeing all of my handmade things.
Come on and I'll show you how I've Fallen so far.
Love my little kitchen corners and I've Fallen in this one!

You've seen most of these things before.

See the little brown and white plate back there? Well, I got it in Portugal earlier this year at a little flea market for $1. I don't have any brown and white transferware but thought I needed it. Sorry I didn't get a clear snap of it.
Isn't this an adorable little egg cup that matches my little things?
Debbie, from My Vintage Daydreams sent me a package filled with lovelies just for me.
She was cleaning out some things and thought of me.
Thank you, Debbie.
I just filled my olden brown Pyrex bowl with pears.
Pretty Fallen, don't you think?

 Here's another little Fallen vignette.
Debbie also sent me this little darling Rooster vase. I love it.
 I poked a little pun'kin under a tiny little cloche...Fallen.
 And in this corner...
a cute little couple who are so happy to be Fallen around.
:)
I poked a few flowers in the bowl of my mixer and called it Fallen!
Well there you have my Fallen kitchen.
I have decorated a little more around the house and will show you later.

Between my sewing and checking in on you all, I couldn't stand it seeing all of your Falleness and I didn't have anything done yet. You all inspire me so much and I love you all!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Please Help Me I'm Falling

Please, help me I'm falling in love with you
Close the door to temptation don't let me walk through
Turn away from me darling, I'm begging you to
Please, help me I'm falling in love with you
I belong to another, whose arms have grown cold
But I promised forever to have and to hold
I can never be free dear but when I'm with you
I know that I'm losing the will to be true
Please, help me I'm falling and that would be sin
Close the door to temptation don't let me walk in
For I mustn't want you oh, but darling I do
Please, help me I'm falling in love with you

BFF Tildas

Hello, Dear Ones.
I know I was supposed to be sewing for my granddaughter and soon to be grandbaby,
but I got sidetracked and am making Tildas for me!
I'm a mess, I know! ;)
We all know what BFF means - Best Friends Forever.
What a blessing to have such a close friend.
Well, that's what I've made, BFF Tildas.
They just love being with each other.

 This is Sandy.
She's a pretty little thing with naturally curly hair.

She loves to wear her overalls, leggings and sandals.

This is Nina.
She and Sandy like to dress alike but they always keep a little individuality in their attire.
Both have on their little overalls with huge pockets.
Their T-shirts, trims on their overalls, scarfs and leggings are a little bit different.

 Here's Nina's leggings and sandals.
Oops, yes, that is a little bit of string on her legging which I didn't see until I uploaded my snaps.
Oh, well...life goess on, doesn't it?
Now the girls have gotten down on the floor to discuss that girl in History class and boys! :)
 Nina and Sandy
Sandy and Nina.
You just rarely see one without the other.
BFFs.
BFFs just chilling.

As you can see, I'm having fun for myself.
Maybe shame on me but I'll get back to sewing for my grands.
I can't seem to get the necks of the Tildas stuffed right because they always wind up with a wrinkle!
I hate that but I'll keep on trying. Ha ha!

I'm joining The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Best Friend
This is the theme song from "Eddie's Father" a sitcom from many moons ago about a boy and his dad, but I love it and wanted you to hear it

People let me tell you about my best friend
He's a warm-hearted person who'll love me to the end
People let me tell you about my best friend
He's a one boy cuddly toy my up my down my pride and joy

People let me tell you now he's so much fun
Whether we're talking man to man
Or whether we're talking son to son
Cause he's my best friend now

Baby Shower and a Carter Story

Hello, Dear Ones.
The ladies from my daughter's church gave her a baby shower this past Sunday afternoon and I wanted to share the joy with you.

Here's my lovely daughter enjoying all of the sweetness.

These little items were just perfect for the shower for little 'Sweet Pea'.

One of the church ladies baked a very special cake too.

 Isn't this just adorable?
The bottom of the cake is laced with little peas and the top...
a little 'Sweet Pea' popping out of the cake.
This is so creative and just the cutest thing!
They gave to top with Sweet Pea to my daughter to take home.
 The hostess and my daughter.
What a blessing and we're so excited as little Sweet Pea will be born next month.
We will be there.

Now I wanted to share a little Carter story.

Carter's mommy and daddy signed her up to play soccer every Saturday for a month or two.
Well, play, is a generous word here as the three year olds will really be learning a few moves and how to play in a group and listen to instructions from someone other than their parents.
I think it's a great thing.
Carter was so excited and had all of her soccer gear on.
Everyone knows sticking out your tongue helps when you're running with the soccer ball! :)
At the end of their session the coach was asking each child, "When you get home, what move would you show your friend about soccer?"
When it was Carter's turn, she put down her ball, pulled up her shirt, turned around and shook her tooshie! :)
That's my girl!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Shake Your Booty
Aah everybody, get on the floor, let's dance!
Don't fight your feelings, give yourself a chance!
Shake shake shake, shake shake shake
Shake your booty! Shake your booty!
Oh, shake shake shake, shake shake shake
Shake your booty! Shake your booty!
Aah, you can, you can do it very well
You're the best in the world, I can tell
Oh, shake shake shake, shake shake shake
Shake your booty! Shake your booty!
Oh, shake shake shake, shake shake shake
Shake your booty! Shake your booty!
Oh yeah
Shake shake, shake shake
Aah, shake shake, shake shake
Aah, shake shake shake, shake shake shake
Shake your booty! Shake your booty!
Oh, shake shake shake, shake shake shake
Shake your booty! Shake your booty
Aah, shake shake, shake shake, shake your booty!
Aah, don't fight the feeling
Shake shake, shake shake, shake your booty!
Aah, give yourself a chance
Shake shake, shake shake, shake your booty!
You can do it, do it!
Shake shake, shake shake, shake your booty!
Come home with momma now!
Shake shake, shake shake, shake your booty!
Shake shake, shake shake, shake your booty!
Aah, run down to sister
Shake shake, shake shake, on your booty!
Aah! Doo your duty
Shake shake, shake shake
