Hello, Dear Ones.
Well, I just can't help myself...I had to make another Tilda doll.
This is my June Cleaverish Tilda.
I grew up watching 'Leave It To Beaver'
and the idea of a June Cleaver Tilda popped into my tiny brain.
Oh, I just adore her!
I think she turned out beautifully.
I'm still patting myself on the back. :)
Remember June?
Pearls on and looking so chic.
My Tilda has on a pearl necklace and pearl earrings and her makeup is applied to perfection!
I just loved making her hair. I gave her a bun with a scarf tied around it that matches her dress.
Isn't her doo sweet?
The bodice of her dress has a band across the top and she has 3/4 length sleeves.
I made her a little apron trimmed in lace and added a pocket for her to keep her hanky in.
Here's the back of her dress and you can see how her apron strings are tied into a bow.
I've added a little ruffle at the hem of her dress.
She's kicked her shoes off for a little rest because she is about to get busy.
Doesn't she look so stylish and the perfect little housekeeper?
Well, here she sits in the kitchen after she's baked a cake for us.
She looks right at home in the kitchen with her little apron on.
She entered this into the local fair and won a blue ribbon for the recipe.
She will not share it with me though! :)
She's been on her feet for quite some time so she is wearing very comfortable, practical but chic shoes. She's cares about how she looks all the time.
Hope you've enjoyed seeing my little June Cleaversish Tilda.
Well...I know I showed you my first Tilda but I really didn't style her very well for her pictures.
So...here is Miss Curly Head again.
She told me she needed a little purse so I grabbed my hook and thread and crocheted her up one in about 30 minutes. I'm so talented like that, you know. :)
Here's a close up and I added a teeny little button on it to blend in with her dress.
Well, I've just got to quit Tildaing and get back to sewing for Carter and Sweet Pea.
Lord, help me! ;)

Rag Doll
Ooh, ooh
Ah, Rag doll ooh, ooh
Rag doll, ooh
(Hand me down)
When she was just a kid her clothes were hand-me-downs
(Hand me down)
They always laughed at her when she came into town
Called her Rag Doll
Little Rag Doll
Such a pretty face
Should be dressed in lace
Ooh, ooh
Ah, Rag doll ooh, ooh
Rag doll, ooh
(Shag rag doll)
I'd change her sad rags into glad rags if I could
(If I could)
My folks won't let me cause they say that she's no good
She's a rag doll
Such a rag doll
Though I love her so
I can't let her know
Ooh ooh
Ah, Rag doll
I love you just they way you are
Oh, Rag Doll, ooh
Oh, Rag Doll, ooh
Ah, Rag doll ooh, ooh
Rag doll, ooh
(Hand me down)
When she was just a kid her clothes were hand-me-downs
(Hand me down)
They always laughed at her when she came into town
Called her Rag Doll
Little Rag Doll
