Hello, Dear Ones.
I thought I would show you today my little sun porch.
I know you've seen it many times but it looks a little bit different now since I've added a few pieces of furniture from my mother.
Here's how it used to look:
Here's how it looks now...

Here's how it looks now...
I think the wood pieces make it look a bit more grounded and cozy.
Here is The Finn. If you want to read about it just click HERE.
Here are my little wicker rockers on each side of the six legged table of Mothers.
If you want to read about the table you can click HERE
I've moved the little wicker sofa over to this area that backs up to the den.
If you'd like to read about the dragon tea set on the coffee table you can click HERE.
I keep my shutter in here all the time with the little red tins hung on it.
Here's a little closer snap of the dragon tea set.
I have made all of the throw pillows on the sofa and rockers years ago but haven't tired of them yet.
I'm so talented like that you know! ;) I'm teasing.
I had to remove my little tray table and my Rooster lamp. I am a bit sad about that but there's no place to put them. I will survive, I'm sure.
Here's a snap to show you the relation the sun porch is to the den. The sun porch was a deck at one time and the previous owners of our house closed it in.
So...one step down from the den and you're on the sun porch. Yep, it's messy in the den.
We spend most of our time in there. Just keeping it real, people!
I decided to move the plant stand with the fern over here behind this rocker.
I like this look a lot better.
I like this look a lot better.
Hope you've enjoyed my little tour of my sun porch. I guess it'll stay this way for a while now!

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
In The Summertime
In the summertime when the weather is hot
You can stretch right up and touch the sky
When the weather's fine
You got women, you got women on your mind
Have a drink, have a drive
Go out and see what you can find
If her daddy's rich take her out for a meal
If her daddy's poor just do what you feel
Speed along the lane
Do a ton or a ton an' twenty-five
When the sun goes down
You can make it, make it good in a lay-by
We're no threat, people
We're not dirty, we're not mean
We love everybody but we do as we please
When the weather's fine
We go fishin' or go swimmin' in the sea
We're always happy
Life's for livin' yeah, that's our philosophy
Sing along with us
Dee dee dee-dee dee
Dah dah dah-dah dah
Yeah we're hap-happy
Dah dah-dah
Dee-dah-do dee-dah-do dah-do-dah
Dah-do-dah-dah-dah
Dah-dah-dah do-dah-dah
When the winter's here, yeah it's party time
Bring your bottle, wear your bright clothes
It'll soon be summertime
And we'll sing again
We'll go drivin' or maybe we'll settle down
If she's rich, if she's nice
Bring your friends and we'll all go into town
In the summertime when the weather is hot
You can stretch right up and touch the sky
When the weather's fine
You got women, you got women on your mind
Have a drink, have a drive
Go out and see what you can find
If her daddy's rich take her out for a meal
If her daddy's poor just do what you feel
Speed along the lane
Do a ton or a ton an' twenty-five
When the sun goes down
You can make it, make it good in a lay-by
We're no threat, people
We're not dirty, we're not mean
We love everybody but we do as we please
When the weather's fine
We go fishin' or go swimmin' in the sea
We're always happy
Life's for livin' yeah, that's our philosophy
Sing along with us
Dee dee dee-dee dee
Dah dah dah-dah dah
Yeah we're hap-happy
Dah dah-dah
Dee-dah-do dee-dah-do dah-do-dah
Dah-do-dah-dah-dah
Dah-dah-dah do-dah-dah

Your sun porch is so cosy, Sheila! Adore your new wooden piece of furniture - sure makes a great addition to your home. Thanks for stopping by :) Hugs Pernilla
ReplyDeleteI love the gateleg table your Mom gave you, Also, I recognize the rose picture on the wall that looks like a Gallery Graphics picture. Your Sun room is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour porch is one of my all time favorite places. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely looking sun porch! It looks so relaxing and comfy with the color scheme you have....Those rockers would be a perfect place to sit and read a good book or too!

Lovely! I adore wicker- always have. My tastes are always changing but I suspect that one never will. ♥
ReplyDeleteI love your Mom's wood buffet, it adds so much warmth to the room. The pillows are fantastic, love each of them - is that "redwork" or a panel of fabric printed with the roos?
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs ~ Mary
