Hello, Dear Ones!
Here I go showing you more of my olden Pyrex.
Hope you like it.
I do believe this is my favorite pattern, for now anyway.
This pattern is called Butterprint.
Some even call it Amish Butterprint and can come in many colors.
The bottom is a Cinderella bowl and the other two are - well - just bowls.
I just think the design is so darling!
Sweet little couple and the wheat bundles.
At first glance when my most gorgeous peepers saw the wheat bundles
I thought they looked like hot air balloons! :)
Then...if it's got a Rooster on it you know I'm hooked!
I found this pretty blue Pyrex Cinderella bowl and fell in love with it to.
Not quite the same color but do I care?
No, no Nannette! I don't give a hoot! ;)
I just love playing in the dishes!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Can't Get It Out of My Head - nothing to do with my post, just love me some ELO
Midnight on the water.
I saw the oceans daughter.
Walking on a waves chicane,
Staring as she called my name.
And I can't get it out of my head,
No, I can't get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
Cos I can't get it out of my head.
Breakdown on the shoreline,
Cant move, it's an ebbtide.
Morning don't get here till night,
Searching for her silver light.
And I can't get it out of my head,
No, I can't get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
Cos I can't get it out of my head, no no.
Bank job in the city.
Robin hood and william tell and ivanhoe and lancelot, they don't envy me.
Sitting till the sun goes down,
In dreams the world keep going round and round.
And I can't get it out of my head,
No, I can't get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
Cos I can't get it out of my head, no no.
No, I can't get it out of my head,

wow, you are getting quite a collection. I am enjoying seeing the different patterns.
ReplyDeleteNice! I think of hot air balloons when I see that pattern, too! I have 2 Butterprints now. I love collecting Pyrex and learning more about it. ♥
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, that's a very lovely Pryex collection. The design is very cute and pretty. Love the color. Thanks for sharing the song.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day ahead.
You have such a great collection of the pyrex. I remember so many of these. How fun. Hugs, Marty

I've never seen this pattern before, and have to admit it's now my favorite also. I love the rooster, hope I can find this pattern somewhere. I am ashamed to admit though, that I've never heard of this song! Have a wonderful day Shelia!
ReplyDeleteThat turquoise is my favorite color -- and I love the lemons and the bowl in your vignette. So very, very pretty! I think I like this one best!
ReplyDeleteSomewhere in the recesses of my mind I recall having some of that pattern many years ago. It's as pretty now as it was then.
ReplyDeleteAnything turquoise gets my attention....love your bowls
ReplyDeleteI love the aqua Pyrex bowls to. They are my favourite colour but we never see them up here. I didn't know those were called Cinderella bowls. The green set I had was all that shape - a 4 bowl set given as a shower gift 36 years ago. Gave it away.
ReplyDeleteHow fun - you have quite a collection!!! I love them! Hoping you will share at Open House!
ReplyDeleteLove that aqua Pyrex - I saw a couple pieces today at Class & Trash but just couldn't justify the antique store price - I'm a Goodwill price kind of girl.
ReplyDeleteHugs ~ Mary
Love the Pyrex. I got a lot of these type of items for shower and wedding gifts (1976); some I still have, and some seems to have disappeared. Wanted to let you know I read your post about your RV and I absolutely love it! It's amazing that there is so much living space in a vehicle that looks a lot like a van. You'll have great times together in it!

ReplyDeleteThose bowls reminds me of my Auntie.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun and sweet colour, too!
You can never have enough pyrex. I use it for everything. Love the pattern and the blue is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery nice set.
ReplyDeleteI love your Pyrex, Shelia. I really love the way the lemons/yellow look with that particular color. Perfect- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Shelia. You have so many pretties to love.
ReplyDeleteNow I do remember those Pyrex dishes, mom had some...oh how I wish I would have thought to take them but I was so hearbroken.
ReplyDeleteI love the solid blue bowl too Shelia!
I LOVE your pyrex bowls and the turquoise ones are very special! It's a good thing I don't live close enough to visit, I might tuck one into my pocket when I visited otherwise. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
I love the color and the pattern on these, Shelia! Love them!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila
I used to have a few of that pattern that belonged to my husband's Grandmother but sadly, they broke. Now you'll have me keeping an eye out for Pyrex bowls. Dishes just make me happy!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the old pyrex. I have the olive green and white mixing bowls and a few other pieces. Still use them. Made tuna salad just today, using the medium bowl.
ReplyDeleteThat blue is gorgeous, Shelia!
Love your pyrex, Shelia! Aren't they such cute patterns and such fun to collect? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the old pyrex. It's not pretty, but I love my pyrex 2-cup measuring cup. One of the most used pieces in my kitchen.
