Hello, Dear Ones!
Yes, I have some great news!
We're going to head up to upstate New York to see our little grand daughter, Carter!
Can I hear a Woo Hoo?
An Amen?
We haven't seen her in the flesh since Christmas so we're beside ourselves with excitement.
She's an artist now at three years old.
Yes, she is.
She is showing you Mickey Mouse that she drew!
I love it.
They have a big Lab named Finnley and Carter calls him her big brotherl
She told her mommy she had painted him on the box.
Well, Dear Ones, let me tell you - that's a dead ringer for my little black mini Schnauzer, Chloe Dawn. Those of you who've seen Chloe will know how much this looks like her! ;)
So I'll miss you all so much but you know I'll be in grand baby heaven.
Of course I'm ready to see our daughter as she is pregnant with little Sweet Pea and our son-in-law.
***********************************
Okay, one more piece of news.
Mr. Precious retired 3 years ago from a career of 43 years.
Then he got his Realtors license. He just can't sit still.
He bought us a present...
A teen weeny little RV!
Ain't she purdy?
This all happened in just a couple of days.
He found it, took me to see it and then we bought it.
He's as thrilled as peaches and I'm so proud he got this for us.
We're gonna have some fun.
This is a class B ( that means teeny ) Winnebago Era Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Diesel chassis.
I don't understand all of that but I did drive it around the block and it was cool!
So let me show you around.
Oh, this is so little but so cute. The little kitchen area is teeny. See the little fridge? Then on the other side is the little gas cooktop and then the tiny little round sink. Both have a little cover that lifts up.
Yep, the sink is dirty. We won't really bring it home until we get back. We did drive it home to make sure it would fit in our driveway and it did!
Here is Mr. Precious checking out the convection oven (I'll have to learn how to use it) with his sun glasses hanging out of his mouth! ;)
I think I'll have to have a little stool to get up in there.
Okay, this is a hoot and I'm not really sure about this, but it is what it is!
Those doors open up accordion style and wallah!!
The bathroom. It's called a 'wet' bath because there isn't a separate shower. You just grab the shower head handle and go to town. So the toilet gets wet too. Hmmm...
There are 2 TVs in here. One in the bedroom and this one - in the kitchen on the countertop!
Can you believe it? Well, I won't be able to spread out much on the counter will I?
There isn't a bedroom but a queen sized bed.The triangle opening had another piece that goes there.
I know lots of folks have the great big RVs or fifth wheels and we've thought of that but this one will be just perfect for us. It can drive anywhere and not take up much space. It gets 23 miles to the gallon and I can drive it too.
But...we're not driving it to New York, not yet anyway. We're flying to see our baby.
When we get back we'll go somewhere.
We've never RVed before and I'm so excited about it. I've been all over the internet looking for tips and even on Pinterest. I just may have to add an RV board to my Pinterest.
So Dear Ones, I'll be back in a little over a week. I'm going to miss you all so much.
I've preposted a few posts so you won't forget me!
I will have lots of snaps of Carter to show you when I get back!
Love to all...kiss kiss
You are all a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
I'll Be Seeing You
I'll be seeing you;
In all the old, familiar places;
That this heart of mine embraces;
All day through.
In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children's carousel;
The chestnut tree;
The wishing well.
I'll be seeing you;
In every lovely, summers day;
And everything that's bright and gay;
I'll always think of you that way;
I'll find you in the morning sun;
And when the night is new;
I'll be looking at the moon;
But I'll be seeing you.
In all the old, familiar places;
That this heart of mine embraces;
All day through.
In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children's carousel;
The chestnut tree;
The wishing well.
I'll be seeing you;
In every lovely, summers day;
And everything that's bright and gay;
I'll always think of you that way;
I'll find you in the morning sun;
And when the night is new;
I'll be looking at the moon;
But I'll be seeing you.

That is amazing - I hope you have a wonderful trip!!
ReplyDeleteShelia, you're going to have so much fun!! Take lots of pictures of Carter and your family.
ReplyDeleteDrive safely in the snazzy RV.
Such good news... and today is a good news day.... my hubby and I are taking the train to Boston this summer to see our darlin' daughter who is very pregnant just to help her out a bit... this is our first grandchild and we are so exc8ited s9o I understand your joy completely
ReplyDelete.. The RV is spectacular! What fun you will have with that!!!!
How wonderful that you and Mr Precious will be seeing Carter and the fam very soon! 6 months makes such a difference in a little ones life! No wonder you are so excited.
ReplyDeleteThe RV: Your model Winnie is one of the most popular ones here in Oz, they are everywhere. There has to be a reason! They've obviously proved themselves! You will love it. You will learn to live in a confined space just fine. Nearly every 5th house here has an RV of some sort parked in their yard or purpose built garage. I've done the RV thing (in a small one) with our travelling friends in a huge 5th wheel. We liked ours better. I can see we'll be treated to some exciting posts and I'm so looking forward to it!! I think the thing that will frustrate you the most dearest Shelia is because of the lack of space you will be greatly limited with decoration objects!!!! :)
