A Little Table Time

Hello, Dear Ones!
The sun is shining outside and the temps are in the 70s and I felt like playing on the table.
The table in my little breakfast room.

Do you like it?
You may remember seeing this a month or so ago.
I stacked some cake stands and poked some fauxs all over them.
Well, I'm not one to let a good thing go to waste so...
I recycled my cake stand vignette.
I'm so talented like this you know! :)

First of all with Spring coming on I found this little mommy and her babies hiding in a cabinet and they were just chirping to get out.
Well, here they sit!

I just couldn't have the artichokes anymore so I poked in a teeny little birdie guarding her little bitty eggs in the nest. She's being so attentive, isn't she?

The olden saying...stop and smell the roses.
I love that, don't you?
Well, you're not going to get much of a smell from these roses because they're not real.
But we can pretend can't we? :)

 I really like this look.

Actually, I love this look!
Uh oh! Actually, I think I left an artichoke on the bottom cake stand.
Oh, well. I love this look any way.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I Think I love You

Ba, ba, ba, ba.
Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba.
Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba.
I'm sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream
Like all at once I wake up
From something that keeps knockin' at my brain.
Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread:
"I think I love you!"
This morning
I woke up with this feeling
I didn't know how to deal with
And so I just decided to myself
I'd hide it to myself and never talk about it
And didn't I go and shout it
When you walked into my room.
"I think I love you!"
I think I love you.
So what am I so afraid of?
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
A love there is no cure for.
I think I love you.
Isn't that what life is made of?
Though it worries me to say
I've never felt this way.
I don't know what I'm up against.
I don't know what it's all about.
I got so much to think about.
Hey, I think I love you.
So what am I so afraid of?
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
A love there is no cure for.
I think I love you.
Isn't that what life is made of?
Though it worries me to say
I've never felt this way.
Believe me,
You really don't have to worry.
I only want to make you happy
And if you say,
"Hey, go away," I will, but I think better still
I'd better stay around and love you.
Do you think I have a case?
Let me ask you to your face:
Do you think you love me?
I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
Oh, I think I love you.
~ sung by David Cassidy

  3. Good Afternoon Shelia, I loved the idea of using cake stands to create a display....very pretty. I started reading the words to your song, I knew them, but do you think I could think of the song....then it came to me when I read "I think I love you"....I started singing the song. I always enjoy reading the words to the songs you chose for us.
    Have a lovely day.
    Best Wishes

  17. Beautiful, Shelia! Such a lovely three tiered arrangement! I just got my first three tier teacake server and used it yesterday at the homeschool workshop I sponsor. Boy - did THAT free up room on the tea treat table - and looked fabulous! I may take a note from your song and use it with flowers as a dining room centerpiece!

Just so you know - I finally posted my Easter tags and linked back to you - Whew! gotta clear my desk and get my blogging time back - just for the fun and joy of it! Always inspired and refreshed visiting such sweet sisters as you!

Lastly - I must comment - David Cassidy? HAHAHA - never was one for putting teen idols on my walls, but I will confess - I did join the Partridge Family Fan Club back in the day. LOL!

  30. I loved your rose arrangement when you showed it before, but since I also love birds and green is one of my favorite colors, I like it even more!

By the way, I scrolled down and read your last post. I'm glad your mom is doing well. I had to laugh about how she was enjoying rehab. It reminded me of my Grandmother. When she had a hip replacement, she had to stay in a rehab place and complained too. However, it turned out to be a nice place like a hotel. They had a menu where she could order food, a pretty garden she could roll herself out to see, a piano out in the foyer, and someone waiting on her hand and foot. So much for the woman who complained aboug going because when it was time to go home, she did not want to leave! Hee, hee....

    Have a great week Shelia!

  47. LOL well first let me say I love that table top, too. You did a marvelous job springing it up nicely!

As for your note song - OMG I had that 45 when I was a little girl and played it till it about melted. Actually I played it till it really did wear out. Loved it, still do but haven't heard it in years. All my records I gave to my daughter who treasures them as antiques. Gulp. Guess it's kinda close, but still how did THAT happen??????

    Hugs. You are a sweetie.
