A Little Springy Dingy

Hello, Dear Ones!
I'm so happy to be back in the land of Blog with my new laptop.
Just one thing...if you're thinking about getting a new puter with Windows 8
there is no START button! Can you believe it?
Well, I fiddled until I found a way to add one.
How can we compute without our START buttons?
Just so you'll know.

Anyway, I'm happy as a lark this morning and wanted to put out a little Springy Dingy in my tiny little kitchen. See my sweet little vignette?

The baby's breaths are left over from my Valentine roses from Mr. Precious.
They still look lovely and I poked them in my Butterfly Meadows vase by Lenox.

This darling bunny is from the same dish line and I won it from a blogger giveaway!

I then decided to poke down these tiny little chicks s/p I found at Cracker Barrel years ago.

Look at the sweet detail of the raised butterfly.

The sun is shining in my kitchen window so beautifully this morning!
You can see I Springed up my little glass shelves over my sink too.

Do you remember this coke bottle green chicken dish I found a few weeks ago?

Well, look!
I found another one in pink!
I do believe the gals are taking over my kitchen!
I love this stuff! :)
One more thing...since my kitchen is clean I thought I'd show you my new dishwasher I got a few weeks back.
My olden Maytag was just not doing the job and finally Mr. Precious realized it was worn out.
So, we bought a new Bosch and let me tell you something ~
my dishes are getting cleaner and sparklier each time they get washed!
I kid you not! I love this stuff!

Here's the before with the olden dishwasher.
I love the new white one so much more because it blends in with my cabinets.
I know so many of you love the stainless steel look but I just love my white appliances
and I don't think white ever goes outta style.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

You Are The Sunshine Of My Life

You are the sunshine of my life
That's why I'll always be around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart

I feel like this is the beginning,
Though I've loved you for a million years,
And if I thought our love was ending,
I'd find myself drowning in my own tears

You are the sunshine of my life,
That's why I'll always stay around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart

You must have known that I was lonely,
Because you came to my rescue,
And I know that this must be heaven,
How could so much love be inside of you?

You are the sunshine of my life, yeah,
That's why I'll always stay around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart
~ sung by Stevie Wonder

  3. Oddly enough, my husband is the one I'm trying to convince I want WHITE and NOT stainless steel for my new stove...crazy, right? I told him I'd get stainless steel if he promised to keep it shiny and not full of finger prints and dents!! Not sure how it'll end up yet...

  27. So good to see you again, Shelia! Congrats on getting a new computer. Your kitchen is beautiful, I have to agree with the white appliances. If I ever buy appliances again, I will get white ones. The stainless ones are not all they are cracked up to be, I like for things to look clean after they've been cleaned. I love the glass chickens in the window, they're lovely!
Big hugs to see you back, cindy

  29. I love the title of your post! Your little vignette is so pretty, it's nice how you "grounded" it with the doily. And a new dishwasher...ooh la la! My BIL used to sell Bosch appliances and they are very top of the line. I have stainless steel in this kitchen but the lakehouse kitchen is all white, including my olden stove. I knew if I replaced it, hubby would want SS. No way! ;-D

    XO,
    Jane

  30. Hi Sheila, I am thrilled that you have a new computer. I would be so sad if anything happened to mine.

I love your sweet vase and bunny rabbits. Since I have seen your kitchen in person I know how beautiful it is. I like white appliances but mine are black. Stainless steel is a very clean look but for my kitchen I love the black. A new dishwasher is great. Enjoy!!!
I'm glad you are posting again.
    Love, Jeanne

  34. Hello! If only spring would come to the Midwest! The sun is so lovely shining through your window. I love your green chicken canisters. I do believe my mother had ones that were a gold color, 1970's perhaps. A new dishwasher, what a treat. I keep hoping mine will give way soon. Darn they seem to last forever! Have a lovely week! 35. Shelia, I love, love your touches of Spring! The chickens on the window are so beautiful! How do you take such pretty pictures on front of your window? I have tried and tried, but every time I try to take a pic of something on my window seat, the brightness is so aweful you can even see the pictures. Can NOT figure it out! :) Your new dishwasher looks lovely and your kitchen just beautiful! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  41. Didn't know that about windows 8...mmm. My daughter said she didn't like it and would wait for the next windows version before buying another laptop (something about the tiles?)

Anyway, I enjoyed seeing your pretty kitchen with the spring touches. Stainless is hard to keep clean - fingerprints show so easily.

  46. Shelia, Love your Lenox vase with the butterfly. And the thick glass chicks are beautiful. You know they're probably a few readers, who don't have a clue what Coke bottle green means. Those were the best tasting Cokes, don't you think?
