I'm Still Here

Hello, Dear Ones!
Did you miss me?

We left early last Wednesday morning for Alabama.
My uncle, my mother's brother passed away and we wanted to take her to his funeral.

Mother is the oldest of nine children in her family and has outlived five of her siblings.
Her brother was 87 and lived a long and fruitful life.
He's with Jesus now and his suffering is over.
I'm so glad we had such a great visit with him a few years ago.

We got home last night and I'm a bit tired today...we drove.
We left Saturday afternoon instead of Sunday as we had originally planned and just missed the awful tornado that hit Mississippi. We would have stayed the night right where it had hit.
God is so good to protect us like He has.

I didn't have access to the internet so I've been absent.
Had hubby's IPad but I don't know how to blog on that thing!

I've missed you all so much but I'll be back soon!!
Laundry and stuff, you know! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll  leave you with a little Note Song~

Good Day Sunshine

Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine.
I need to laugh, and when the sun is out
I've got something I can laugh about,
I feel good, in a special way.
I'm in love and it's a sunny day.

Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine.
We take a walk, the sun is shining down,
Burns my feet as they touch the ground.

Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine.
And then we lie, beneath a shady tree,
I love her and she's loving me.
She feels good, she knows she's looking fine.
I'm so proud to know that she is mine.

Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine.
Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine,
Good day sunshine

  8. Lovely to see you home safe and sound - what timing missing that tornedo! God is good. A sad time for all but so sad for your Mum. I am an only child so I have no idea what it would feel to outlive your siblings. Your Uncle did live a long life which is to be celebrated.
On a practical note dear Shelia, you had best be giving your attention to all that laundry!!

  30. Hi Shelia-
So sorry for your family's loss. That was great that you took your mother there. I know it's hard. I'm real glad to hear you didn't stop in that place where the tornadoes landed....yikes!
I have a new iPad but I can't seem to get it to work right for creating postings, so I just use it to visit other blogs, check e-mails and search the internet! Rest up...Liz

I can relate to being blessed, happy our sweet Jesus watched over your travels, and missed the bad weather.....we were blessed in Sept 11,2001.We were going to fly to NYC on Sept 11,2001 and changed our plans a few days before and decided to fly to Niagria Falls instead,we were @ BWI that morning, boarded our flight to Niagria Falls only to un-board causes ALL flights were cancelled, had to rent a car to drive back to southeast Georgia...whew!
