Valentining in the Breakfast Room Hutch

Hello, Dear Ones!
I did a tiny little bit of Valentining in my breakfast room.
In my little hutch.
I'm still loving my sweet green color of it.
I believe 'green' is my favorite color ~ today!

See?
Valentining!

I always start at the top.
Poked up a trio of yard birds.
You know how I love my yard birds.
Can you love yard birds?
Well, you bet your chicken feathers you can!

As you can see, I mixed a few different dish patterns.

Here's a coffee server with sugar and creamer
(different patterns but same colors ~ I'm just so clever to mix patterns like thisyou know).:)
These are sitting on a crocheted doily made by my grandmother many many years ago.

I poked a few little homemade hearts here and there.

Now on to the second shelf.

See that purdy yard bird?
He was a gift from my sweet friend, Jeanne from Backyard Neighbor,
who came to see me last year.
I still love him, Jeanne! Thank you! :)

Another sweet little piece all Valentiney looking.

 Then the top shelf.

 Another little heart poked down.

Thanks for popping in to see me today and  hoped you've enjoyed seeing the Valentining that is going on in my little hutch.
Now where did I put that chocolate candy? :)

I'll leave you a little Note Song ~

And I Love Her
I give her all my love
That's all I do
And if you saw my love
You'd love her too
I love her

She gives me everything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her

A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her
~ sung by The Beatles

  3. Good Afternoon Shelia, As I was reading the words to "And I love her" I was thinking of my mother, as she loves this song.
Your dresser looks beautifully arranged. I have chickens in my kitchen and they make me smile....reading that back it sounds as if I have "live" chickens roaming around my kitchen!
    Have a lovely day.
    Best Wishes

  4. Ah, I love all your Valentining!!! Red is such a fun and pretty color and looks SOpretty with your beautiful, green hutch! I love that green. Did you make the cloth hearts? Valentines is one holiday where I don't decorate. I do put a wreath on the front door and usually do a valentines table but that's it! Have a great day!!! XO, pinky

  29. I haven't started Valentining yet - I'm getting ready for an open house for my dear, little mother's birthday. I love your green, too, and your red china pieces are wonderful. I think I need to add some of my collection. I passed up a vintage red cup and saucer the other day - and I've 'kicked' myself ever since! Thinking I should go shopping for some Valentine-y dishes. Thanks for the inspiration.

  42. Hi Shelia *hugs*
Sweet Valentining happening at your place..*s*...those roosters really are darling all through the year aren't they. And that is a very fine piece of furniture and I like the colour green you used on it. Now I have been wondering whether you might have been making more of the houses for Valentine's day that you made for Christmas. The glitter houses....have you been eating your cereal? I bet they would make a darling little village...
thank you for sharing your sweet Valentines. You did a great job again Shelia...enjoy...

  43. Glad you have recovered from the ball Shelia. I always enjoy seeing your home, and you never disappoint. Green and pink are my favorite colors, so I think your hutch is just dandy. Oh, you also scored with the hen and nest in the previous post. I've never seen on that color, but it's beautiful. My Grandmother gave me a milk glass one and another that is blue carnival glass. Just last week, I bought mom an amber one for her birthday, so I guess I now have a collection of those too.

  45. Dear Sheila,
Your hutch looks absolutely perfect for Valentine's Day or any day. I love how the shades of reds and pinks mix together and the different china patterns too. You did a wonderful job with it all. Space between so you could appreciate all things. Love those old dishes and I have a crocheted piece by my grandmother just the same. Sometimes I show it off on the back of a chair.
Your old high chair is darling the way you painted it.
Yeah, for the Beatles. Of course we all know all their songs but it was really nice seeing those words in print and taking my time with them. Made a great start to my day!
