It's All About The "C"

Hello, Dear Ones!
I'm so excited as our daughter, son in law and little grand daughter, Carter, are coming for Christmas!
Now I know Christmas is all about the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
So the "C" certainly stands for Christ.
The "C" can stand for Christmas too as this is the most wonderful time of the year.
But...
I'm talking about the "C" of grand baby Carter!

So, I wanted to decorate for my little wonderful "C"!
I want her to come to her grandmas and grandpas house and say "oooooo".
I've decorated my mantel with a little 2 1/2 year old in mind.

Sparkly and child like. Oh, child, that's another "C"!

Here's a whimsical little wreath I've made and will tell you about it in another post.

Let's look at this side first.

Santie Claus hopped up here because little children and my little Carter just love Santie Claus!
Claus! Another "C".
He has some little tinsel trees on each side of him that I found at The Dollar Store last year and poked one of them on a candle stick to vary the height.
There I go being creative again! :)
Creative! That's another "C"!

Now on to the other side.

I'm using that cute little red wagon I found and used in a Thanksgiving vignette here on the mantel.
Cute! Another "C".
It's just perfect for the snow globe and I think I'll add some candy canes.
Candy Canes! Two more "C"s!

This little rocking horse has a windup on the bottom, rocks back and forth and plays Jingle Bells.
I bought this when my son was about 2 and now he's 42.
I still pull it out each year and marvel at how sweet it still looks and that it still works.

Here I've poked down an olden carved wooden Santie.
Carved? Well, that's another "C"!

Yep, there's an Elf on the Shelf.
Guess what? They've made girl elves this year.
See her little earrings and eyelashes!
I know she's going to be getting into mischief before Christmas gets here.

I poked down a garland and wound wired ribbons all around and added Christmas balls.
The ribbons make it look so much fuller.

The garland hangs down on both ends of the mantel just like little girl pigtails,
ribbons and Christmas balls.
I know these are called ornaments,
but I've always called them Christmas balls
and I'm too old to start changing my  lingo now! :)
Sorry, but I don't think changing works as a "C".

I know these Christmas balls look like little second graders all lined up to go to the bathroom
but I just couldn't stop hanging them.
So I have lined up Christmas balls! :)

Well, there you have my Christmas mantel all decked out with my little "C" in mind.
Do you think she'll like it?

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Holly Jolly Christmas

Have a holly jolly Christmas
It's the best time of the year
Well
I don't know if there'll be snow
But have a cup of cheer

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And when you walk down the street
Say hello to friends you know
And everyone you meet

Ho ho the mistletoe
Hung where you can see
Somebody waits for you
Kiss her once for me
Have a holly jolly Christmas
And in case you didn't hear
Oh, by golly
Have a holly jolly Christmas
This year

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And when you walk down the street
Say hello to friends you know
And everyone you meet

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And in case you didn't hear
Oh, by golly
Have a holly jolly Christmas
