Hello, Dear Ones!
I've been waiting for this day for some time now to show you my little Glitter Houses on display.
I started making these little houses and churches way back in the summer
and couldn't wait for Christmas time to set them all up.
If you'd like to see how I made them, you can see my post HERE and HERE.
I'm joining the Pinterest Pinning Party at Debbiedoos
I'm joining the Pinterest Pinning Party at Debbiedoos
I painted my little breakfast room hutch with these little houses in mind back in September.
Yes, I do silly stuff like that ~ I really do!
I tossed down three white runners I had made years ago,
folded them up just right and poked one down on each shelf.
I just had to have some snow!
Okay, I'll start with the bottom shelf. I had one extra church and poked it down here.
I think this shelf is where the Baptists live! :)
Second shelf.
Now this little group got lost behind the trim
so I poked down lots of magazines to lift them up and put the snow on top!
It worked!
I'm so talented like that. You know you know that, don't you?
I really am teasing.
The very top shelf.
These little houses and church are smaller than the rest but still just as cute.
Don't you love them?
I'll show you a close up of my little churches.
Now I made some of my doors and windows myself but found some graphics of doors and windows on the internet I liked and resized them to fit my little buildings and printed them out.
See, I told you I was talented! :)
Okay, okay! I bragged on myself too soon.
I know this little steeple is crooked.
You know...made by hand...oops! :)
But it's okay with me.
Here's some houses.
I got a little carried away with the Christmas balls on the one on the left.
These are the little bitty ones.
You can see the 'me' made door and window on the house at the left
and the prettier printed out ones on the house at the right.
and the prettier printed out ones on the house at the right.
Do you see the little Christmas tree in the window?
Here you can really see the Christmas tree and curtains in the window.
I'm feeling talented again! :)
Since I am so talented, :) I didn't put any windows in the blue house.
I'm sure it gets very cold in there!
I did have such a wonderful fun time making these little houses and adding all the little accessories.
You have to have little bottle brush trees with your Glitter houses and I found mine at
Michael's and Hobby Lobby along with the little folks and animals.
Some of these are for model train set ups, I'm just sure.

On with the cuties.
Look at this sweet little lambie pie!
One more little lambie pie and they are hanging out at the church!
I think they are going to be in the Christmas play.
...as the shoppers rush home with their treasures.
...with every Christmas card I write.
...oh, bring me some figgy pudding.
...pretty papers, pretty ribbons of blue.
...toy land, toy land.
Doggies just love Christmas time.
And they are ever so obedient this time of year. :)
So grab your keys or...
just jump into the horse drawn carriage and pop on in to see me.
Hope you've enjoyed seeing my little Glitter houses on display
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Silver Bells
Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas day
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks
Dressed in holiday style
In the air there's a feeling of Christmas
Children laughing, people passing
Meeting smile after smile
And on every street corner you'll hear
Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas day
Strings of street lights, even stoplights
Blinkin' bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures
Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch
This is Santa's big day
And above all this bustle you'll hear
Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas day
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks
Dressed in holiday style
In the air there's a feeling of Christmas
Children laughing, people passing

Shelia, you are talented. They are utterly charming. xo, olive
ReplyDeleteShelia your Christmas glitter houses are so sweet! You did an amazing job making each one of them and they look wonderful on your hutch. I like how each one is different with it's own personality. I use Reader's Digests to lift things up on the top of my china hutch too. I have a berry garland in front of them so you can't see them. :) Decorating secrets. LOL Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, I adore these sweet villages. Love the curtains, Christmas trees, etc. - what tedious work but oh so beautiful. I see you have a wiener dog just like Harriet!

Shelia, you are one talented little lady!!! This village is one of the cutest things I've ever seen -- I love it!! I think it's amazing that you made every single building, and you were smart to think of using the colored card stock. I wouldn't call it cheating; I'd call it a shortcut, and I love shortcuts. :-D
ReplyDeleteAll the people and trees and vehicles just make it all complete, but I especially love that you added the lambs and the dogs. This is a wonderful project and you can pass it on to your darling grand daughter one day. Thanks for sharing the tutorials.

Shelia-I can't find your email....but...did I send you the graphic for the day of Silence and Support for Tuesday? If not let me know and I will email it for you. The blog world (supposedly) is going silent on Tuesday- several other bloggers, like you, are doing it for longer, too. God bless you- I, too, am heartbroken and feel just sick.
ReplyDeleteYour glitter houses are so charming! Everything looks so wonderful and festive.
ReplyDeleteLovely and sweet glitter house, just saw your share right now and just got amazed, the doggies are too cute and just enhancing the appearance of your home.
