Hello, Dear Ones!
Are you almost ready for Thanksgiving?
Got my table set and ready for company!
I'm using two different patterns of Johnson Brothers dishes, but it works just fine for me.
You may think my tablecloth is too busy but again, it's okay.
These glasses are the first crystal Mr. Precious gave me.
I love them and almost get teary eyed every time I use them.
I got so crafty and made some little place cards!
I'm so talented like that you know! :)
This is your place, so sit right down.
The card holder is a little silver (tarnished) pear with a gold top.

Creamy napkins poked in some little Fallish napkin rings.
I've sprinkled my table with little turkeys.
This set of salt and peppers, Mr.Tom and Turkeyette,
were from my collection from when I was a little girl.
I don't have many sets left any more.

These little turkeys are not old but they're cute! :)
I put together a very simple and easy centerpiece.
Grabbed a silver tray, poked a little faux pun'kin in the center, tossed a fall garland of leaves around it and then added Fallen fruits and veggies.
Done!
I wanted to have a low centerpiece so we could see our company across the table.

Well, you may as well know I had a little helper.
My little Chloe Dawn.
Here she is stretching after her long morning of work.
She wishes you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving and blessings to you all.

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Wonderful, Merciful Savior
Wonderful, merciful Saviour
Precious Redeemer and Friend
Who would've thought that a Lamb could
Rescue the souls of men
Oh, You rescue the souls of men
Counselor, Comforter, Keeper
Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
Hopelessly lost our way
Oh, we've hopelessly lost the way
You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for
Almighty, infinite Father
Faithfully loving Your own
Here in our weakness You find us
Falling before Your throne
Oh, we're falling before Your throne
You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for
~ sung by Selah

ReplyDeleteYour table looks fabulous ! Love your dishes and your centerpiece is perfect ! Happy Thanksgiving !
ReplyDeleteSheila-It looks wonderful. I don't think the tablecloth is too busy at all. It just speaks Fall to me. All that's missing is a platter full of turkey!;>) You did a great job...love the Johnson Bros. dishes- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteShelia, I love your table setting. Your whole dining room looks so inviting. Happy thanksgiving to you and yours. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely, Shelia, perfect! I hope you have a fun time with your company, and I know they will feel blessed to eat at that festive table! Mr. Magpie is going on a business trip and will be tired when he comes back. So we have opted out of invitations from friends/family. I did this a few years ago when I didn't feel well, so we are going to take outselves to the fanciest reatuarant in town and eat. I am tired, too, so this works best for us. All I have to do is get dressed and go with my best boyfriend! I know I sound like a party pooper, but I'm still trying to get my strength back this fall. Then we will do things together like watching old movies, etc. Christmas is our big celebration so we will do that with our loved ones. But this is a romantic dinner for two! Ooo la la. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you, my friend. I am thankful to have you in my life!
XO,
Sheila
Oh Shelia, everything looks so beautiful! Everything is all so warm and welcoming I am sure your guest will love it to! Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours.

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Sheila... Your table looks just grand and I LOVE the tablecloth. Too much is never enough for this girl... Why have plain and boring when you can have zippy and fun... and that's just what your "fallish" tablecloth is...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time visiting with family.
Hugs to you!
Spencer
Your table is gorgeous! My plans are all made. There will be five of us - all adults - this year. Tablesetting is planned but I can't put it all together until the day before Thanksgiving. We don't have a formal dining room and our table is used every day. This is one of my favorite songs - so touching!
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
I love your Thanksgiving Table - all set in it's glory. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Shelia.
ReplyDeleteThis year will be like every other year - Mr. CSP and me...and the 3 pups. We'll be dining in style, too. I'm going to make a very special lunch we all love. And it's so simple too. I'll be sharing the recipe on my Blog tomorrow!!
Jan ♥

ReplyDeleteShelia, although I am not blogging, I wanted to stop by to wish you and your family a very special holiday!! It looks like your family and guests will enjoy their meal in typical Shelia style. Everything looks beautiful and well done. Now, don't let Chloe Dawn eat too many Thanksgiving fixins. I will have to try to take my own advice with my four fur babies because they love home cookin! Hehe. --------Shannon

Your table is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit Thanksgiving here will include disposable plates, forks and cups. Too many family members to wash a ton of dishes. I do have my Thanksgiving and fall decorations out and will use my mom's big turkey platter.
I've done my shopping. I'll start some baking tomorrow.
Christmas eve is my time to get to use the good silver and china, it will be much smaller, just hubby, daughter her guy and the grand. :)

ReplyDeleteSo festive and so excited you made a place for me at your lovely table hehe. You have such a cozy home and I just know you are a wonderful hostess!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, your table is lovely and looks so inviting! I also love your chandelier. I'm in the market for one now so I'm checking them all out on the blogs! I am also wondering if Roscoe has a music box built in? He looks exactly like my childhood teddy, except where yours is orange mine is black. Mine still has part of his nose and the metal piece in his back to turn the music box. He was a gift to me from my godmother when I was born in 1956. Happy Thanksgiving. Linda
