Just One More

Hello, Dear Ones.
I know, I know. I hope I'm not boring you with these grandbaby snaps but I promise this is the last one for a while! :)

Okay, we know every girl needs a new doo from time to time.
My daughter saved Carter's hair cut appointment til we got to their neck of the woods.
This was just the cutest place you've ever seen ~ just for children!
Here's Carter with her new chopped up hair.
I'm smiling my head off and she's not giving her Mommy much.

This hair cut didn't last more than ten minutes and Carter sat as still as a mouse.
Of course they had a darling little TV with a cute cartoon playing so she was loving this.

When she was fixed up with her little side pony tail, they gave her a little plastic card which she put into the magic machine and received a bracelet and was given a lollypop!
Now why can't women's salons give lollypops and fun? :)

Did I tell you how much I love this little one?

 My girls.

How marvelous to be so awesome! :)

 My dolls.
It sure was hard to end our sweet visit but our little family will be coming to Galveston for Christmas!
That will be so exciting!

I told you we carried lots of my daughter toys to Carter.
My daughter loved her Little Ponies and had kept them just immaculate and Carter fell in love with them.
As you can see, my daughter even had the castle.

Actually, I think my daughter was loving seeing her ponies again and brushing their hair.
She was even telling me their names and which ones were her favorites.
It's always fun being a child again.

Hope you've enjoyed seeing my girls with me.
I miss them terribly but I can wait until Christmas! ;)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Forever Young

May the good lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young

May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
With a prince or a vagabond

And may you never love in vain

And in my heart you'll always remain
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
Forever young
Forever young

And when you finally fly away

I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell

But whatever road you choose

I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
For, forever young, forever young
~ sung by Rod Stewart

  7. Hi Shelia! Thanks for visiting me! How could anyone be bored with seeing your sweet little grand-daughter, she is just beautiful and so is her mama! It was so thoughtful of you to keep your daughter's things to pass down to her little girl. Little Carter looks so happy playing with the ponies, and your daughter is even happier! I am sure it is difficult having them so far away. My oldest 2 daughters are planning to move to California next year and I told them they can't have any children if they are going to live 2000 mile away from me, I won't have it! I hope you are having a nice weekend. Take care!

  8. Carter is so adorable! What a sweetie she is with her new hairstyle and cute dimples. I have saved our daughter's toys and dolls too but she has 2 boys so I guess the toys will stay in the attic for now. It won't be long until you see her again. Hugs, Pamela

  10. Oh what a cutie she is....and I love how you saved the daughters toys from when she was little...and that they were able to be passed down to her daughter...that is too sweet....I saved all of daughter's Cabbage Patch dolls (all 22 of them) and all I got from her was ...."I don't want that crap in my house".......Okay for being sentimental.....Miss B is a Star Wars fan.....luckily we saved all those figures also..

  21. Looks like your girls inherited the cute gene, Shelia. Carter's hair cut suits her very well. I think I would like that salon, too. Don't forget I am at A Cozy Place Called Home now instead of Cozy Home Scenes. Come check it out when you have time.------- Shannon

  22. Your girlie is the cutest thing ever! If we had a hair salon like that for ladies my age ;) I might get my hair cut more often! Loving all the pictures, can't get enough of them, and so glad to hear they're coming to be with you for Christmas - can't wait to see all your decorations around that time. Hugs ~ Mary

  23. Such beautiful girls! You have a sweet family Sheila! My granddaughter, Rheagan, loves horses, ponies, etc. She'll turn 6 this week. She's six weeks into Kindergarten, and can already read some, and write sentences complete with punctuation! Aren't children just so smart these days? I know you really enjoyed your time with your girls! Have a blessed week!
