I'm Back!!

Hello, Dear Ones!!

I'm so excited to be back home from our month long road trip.
We had an absolute wonderful time with our girls and other family members along the way.
I just have to tell you, when we were out and about with little Carter, folks would tell me how much she looked like me! You know how I loved that! :)

Okay, let's see, we started out of course in Texas, then Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts, not necessarily in that order.

Well, I'm tired! We were so ready to get home that we drove 800 miles in one day!
I thought I had lost my behind somewhere around Atlanta,
but no, no, Nannette, when I got home ~ there it was! :)

I must tell you, I think our computers are in trouble...long story. :(
So...Thursday evening we have a puter guy coming over to see what's up.
I can still get on my puter but it's slow.

Know I love you all and thank you so much for popping in to check on me
and I'll be up posting soon when we figure what's going on with these puters.

Just had to leave you with one little piccy!
This was before I was so tired and little Carter was worn out!

You are all my sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I've Been Everywhere

I was totin' my pack along the dusty Winnemucca road,
When along came a semi with a high an' canvas-covered load.
"If you're goin' to Winnemucca, Mack, with me you can ride."
And so I climbed into the cab and then I settled down inside.
He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand.
And I said, "Listen, I've traveled every road in this here land!"

I've been everywhere, man.

I've been everywhere, man.
Crossed the desert's bare, man.
I've breathed the mountain air, man.
Of travel I've had my share, man.
I've been everywhere.

I've been to:

Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota,
Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota,
Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma,
Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma,
Bangor, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo,
Tocapillo, Baranquilla, and Perdilla, I'm a killer.

I've been to:

Boston, Charleston, Dayton, Louisiana,
Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana,
Monterey, Faraday, Santa Fe, Tallapoosa,
Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa,
Tennessee to Tennesse Chicopee, Spirit Lake,
Grand Lake, Devils Lake, Crater Lake, for Pete's sake.

I've been to:

Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Ombabika,
Schefferville, Jacksonville, Waterville, Costa Rica,
Pittsfield, Springfield, Bakersfield, Shreveport,
Hackensack, Cadillac, Fond du Lac, Davenport,
Idaho, Jellico, Argentina, Diamantina,
Pasadena, Catalina, see what I mean-a.

I've been to:

Pittsburgh, Parkersburg, Gravelbourg, Colorado,
Ellensburg, Rexburg, Vicksburg, Eldorado,
Larimore, Admore, Haverstraw, Chatanika,
Chaska, Nebraska, Alaska, Opelika,
Baraboo, Waterloo, Kalamazoo, Kansas City,
Sioux City, Cedar City, Dodge City, what a pity.

  3. Good grief, Carter is growing so fast, honey, I almost didn't recognize her. We're due to have our 2nd great grandDAUGHTER, squeeeeeeal, in another month and a half. I can't wait! I was emailing my granddaughter the other day and mentioned "the girls" and she loved me calling them "the girls" but hadn't thought of that. Funny. Yep, hubs says he's getting more "girls" to add to his stash. Anyway, we are truly blessed to have so many grands and great grands. Not many people live to see their great grands. I'm blessed so much by my Lord!
    xoxo,
    Connie

My backside went numb from all the miles spent in the car....but would gladly do this again to see the sights and go on a vacation!!!

BUTT there's no place like home...ha!

  37. Hi Shelia!

Oh MY... that sure was a long trip! Sounds like you had a great time. I was gone too but I just took a break to figure some things out. All's good with the world now and I am getting to know and respect the true me.

Little Carter just couldn't get any cuter, and yes she does look like her grandma :) I envy your getting to spend so much time with her. I still haven't seen my 1st great granddaughter:( I am afraid she will be walking and talking before I do!

I can't help but notice your colorful shirt... it makes me think that you are a Type 1 Beauty. "Type 1: The Bright, Animated Woman You have a light, upward energy. You brighten a room and easily bring a smile to others’ faces. People enjoy the gift of your naturally fun-loving and hopeful nature." Does that sound like you? See... I have been practicing my Dressing Your Truth course that I have been blogging about.
