Hello, Dear Ones.
Just a little short post today with a little more Falling.
My prayers and good wishes to all of my blogging friends in the path of this monster storm.
Be safe and know I'm thinking of you!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Till the Storm Passes By
- In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howls above me, and there's no hiding place.
'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by"
But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise
Where the storms never darken the skies.
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Hello sweet lady, I am praying for those in the path of this horrid storm. I love the song that you used, it's perfect, we are truly safe in the palm of God's hand. Love and hugs, Cindy
ReplyDeleteDear Shelia. I too think your song is so apt for the current situation. I have been in contact with some of my blog friends in its path and they are safe and well, but communications and power has stopped.
ReplyDeletePrayers and thoughts are with everyone in its path.
I am hoping to hear from some of mine tonight.....Praying for all
ReplyDeleteYes, keep each one safe till the storm passes by. Thanks for these beautiful words, Shelia..........Sarah

ReplyDeleteGood morning, Shelia, and it is good to say bye bye to Sandy... I am happy to have my power back but still have no dial tone on my house line. But I am so fortunate compared to so many, my prayers to all of those who suffered Sandy's wrath. And i love all your "fallen" touches, especially the tea towels. xo
ReplyDeleteI am praying for all that are experiencing Sandy. Hopefully I will be in touch with family in PA soon! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteBoy this storm has been a doozy, hasn't it? Keeping everyone in it's path in prayer.
ReplyDeleteLove all your autumn decor. Such beautiful colors.
Hugs and Kisses,

Are you familiar with the song, "Still"? It's a beautiful, fairly new song about the 'storms' in our life. We sing it occasionally in church, but not often enough! Sally

ReplyDeleteMakes me feel like I could reach out and grab a piece..
I have to say, your song brought tears and thats ok.. I could HEAR it and it touched my heart...

Love that song, and thank you for it and your prayers. God is so good, we are safe today and the worst has passed!!! We lost power a few times, but today all is well.....as soon as it dries out we will begin the major clean up!!! I agree, you are certainly a bright spot in our lives, thank you and hugs...cleo
ReplyDeleteThat hymn was going through my head the past 2 days too. We are not experiencing too much bad weather here so far but more rain is to come later today and tomorrow. I can't believe the images coming from NYC and areas affected by the hurricane. It is really devastating. Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall vignette Sheila...and love that song...so appropriate....Have a wonderful day!

So sweet- love your fall touches and your beautiful song. I went to you tube to hear it.
ReplyDeleteIt's so shocking to see the devastation out East. It's going to be a long haul for all of them.
Prayers for all.
Hugs,
Liz
Hey Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI love this song. I remember singing it in the choir at the church where I grew up. Such a comforting song.
Love your fallness, and thanks for your visit!
Your touches of fall here are so soothing.
ReplyDeleteAll of us I am sure are thinking of those out east in the wake of this storm. Sometimes I/we feel pretty helpless, but we can all be unified in love and prayer for our human family.
You know....I have always wondered DO YOU PLAY THE PIANO. I can't remember if you told me that, or If I've read that as of yet.
