Hello, Dear Ones and Happy Halloween!
Thought I would share a little lady bug with you today ready for some trick or treating.
Lady bugs can really jump high. Did you know that? :)
If lady bugs jump high enough they can just go ahead and fly.
If this lady bug takes off her antenna, it's Carter!!
My sweet girls!
Wish I could hug, kiss and actually give some candy to Carter but little packages in the mail will have to do!
Maybe it's good I'm not with my little granddaughter on Halloween.
I certainly wouldn't want to scare her! :)
We have so many trick or treaters come to Note Songs cottage so I have the candy ready.
Well, the good stuff is slowly getting scarce, wonder why?
You all be safe and have a wonderful Halloween.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Bless This House
(these are the words of the theme song from Poltergeist, betcha didn't know it had words did you?)
As evening shadows grow deep and long
reaching across the bed
mother and father hear childrens prayers
now as they bow their heads
bless this house
bless this house
and the souls within
through the night til it's light again
guide our hearts
through the dark
to the breaking day
bless this house
bless this house
we pray
save me from bad dreams
if they should come
raging into my heart
keep us together one family
nothing can tear apart
bless this house
bless this house
and the souls within
through the night til its light again
guide our hearts
through the dark
to the breaking day
bless this house
bless this house
we pray
Give us arms to hold that are right and strong
when the night goes on too long
bring us a morning wide as the sea
where love will be our ark
standing together one family
nothing can tear apart
bless this house
bless this house
and the souls within
through the night til its light again
guide our hearts
through the dark
to the breaking day
bless this house
bless this house
we pray....

ReplyDeleteI believe that is the cutest ladybug I've ever seen. LOVE the legs!! The same problem is happening at our house with the good candy. If you can figure out why this is happening, please let me know ASAP!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!
Best,
Bonnie
That has got to be the world's CUTEST lady bug! Oh, Shelia, couldn't you just eat her up with a spoon? She's a DOLL. And she looks EXACTLY like YOU. She's a Mini Me of YOU. I love this child. And I love you and your sweet daughter for sharing her with us.
ReplyDeleteI had a ladybug tap dance costume once. I thought I was something else!

ReplyDeleteWell, for certain that is the cutest ladybug I've ever seen. And, her grandma is the cutest, too.♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteCarter is a sweet little ladybug! She's such a cutiepie. It's a good thing she won't see you. You scared me! You are a great sport and really clever at make up. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween to you!
ReplyDeleteThat ladybug costume is so cute, and so is your grandaughter! I have to admit your photo startled me a bit, definitely scary looking. I visit your lovely blog often, but have never commented till now. I am now following you on GFC! Hope you'll visit me sometime.
ReplyDeleteShelia, I find the whole Halloween time so intriguing and fun and even had to google it to understand the origins behind the celebration. Nothing like this is done in Australia (although its starting to catch on now) but most of my Halloween education has come from TV shows and hollywood movies. Since joining blog-land I now enjoy the 'real' thing!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your good wishes Shelia and you had 200+ kids trick and treating???! Nooooo surely :) WOW.
