Hello, Dear Ones!
My laundry is all washed and put away
and I've milked resting as long as I can.
I have done nothing for Fall at my house so thought I would share with you some Fall I saw on my trip.
Isn't this so Fall?
We saw this darling pun'kin patch in a parking lot no less. :)
Lots of pun'kins but there were ghosts flying around among them.
Now don't be scared.
Pun'kins, mums and ghosts!
It's October y'all! :)
I thought this was a lovely little spot.
Oh, and the scarecrows!
There's a cute one.
I think there may have been a scarecrow convention going on or something! :)
Now this was an absolutely darling bakery.
I had to snap the front for you.
I know this is a bit blurry but I was snapping through the glass.
Look at the darling Fallen cakes!
Isn't this a great hutch ~ so large!!
Someone did a great job dressing it up too.
I must tell you, Mr. Precious got an eclair and I got a brownie that were so delicious.
I loved all of these darling little gourds all carved for Fall and Halloween.
Did I buy one for moi? No, no Nannette, I didn't and I'm regretting it. : (
Out in the Pennsylvania countryside, I spied this gorgeous red barn.
I just love red barns.
Lots of pretty flowers still making a glorious showing.
Then I snapped this darling little cow.
I'm not very farmified, but I believe this is a baby cow, a calf.
One thing I must tell you, she was very magical, because she was singing to me.
Can't you tell? :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Forever Autumn
The summer sun is fading
As the year grows old
And darker days are drawing near
The winter winds will be much colder
Now you're not here
I watch the birds fly South
Across the autumn sky
And one by one they disappear
I wish that I was flying with them
Now you're not here
Like the sun through the trees
You came to love me
Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away
Through autumns golden gown
We used to kick our way
You always loved this time of year
Those fallen leaves lay undisturbed now
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here
Like the sun through the trees
You came to love me
Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away
A gentle rain pours softly on my weary eyes
As if to hide a lonely tear
My life will be forever autumn
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here
As the year grows old
And darker days are drawing near
The winter winds will be much colder
Now you're not here
I watch the birds fly South
Across the autumn sky
And one by one they disappear
I wish that I was flying with them
Now you're not here
Like the sun through the trees
You came to love me
Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away
Through autumns golden gown
We used to kick our way
You always loved this time of year
Those fallen leaves lay undisturbed now
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here
Like the sun through the trees
You came to love me
Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away
A gentle rain pours softly on my weary eyes
As if to hide a lonely tear
My life will be forever autumn
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here
'Cause you're not here

What pretty Fall pics Sheila. We do not even have leaves changing here yet. I am patiently waiting.

I am off on vacation today myself!
Glorious pictures, what an awesome trip! I know you'll find time, now that the laundry is done, to decorate with your own fallen beauty. Hugs ~ Mary

ReplyDeleteGreat Fall inspiration! I especially like the autumn decorated baked goods! So glad you are home safe and sound! :)
ReplyDeleteOh I just love all of these great Fall pics you shared. I have one of those Halloween gourds that light up. I forgot that I had it. I should get it out soon I guess. I haven't really done much at my house either. The mood hasn't hit me this year yet. I know you are still getting settled after being away, so you have a valid excuse! Ha!
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful shots. I love seeing all the pumpkins and corn.
I have whiskey barrel planter like in your photo. I could set pumpkins and a mum pot in them. Great ideas there. Thanks, Shelia.

Shelia,
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, dear friend!!! Oh I adore all the Fall photos you took along your trip! The "singing calf" made me think of The Happy Cow commercials of a few years back! Too cute! I agree...the calf was singing a song just for Shelia of Note Songs!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Hi Shelia, You did a great job of getting some awesome Fall pics for us. I adored the calf so much. You see I was a farm girl when I was a child and we lived on a dairy farm. Lots of calves to love. Farm life was so much fun. Fall was my favorite time of the year. Halloween was a trip to town where the stores outdid themselves to make it all so special. Fun memories. I loved the bakery and the lovely displays. Especially the hutch. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are rested up.
Love, Jeanne
Great pictures Sheila! I love the picture of you and your Granddaughter in the next post too--so cute!
ReplyDeletePam

ReplyDeleteLove your Fall pics, Shelia! I also checked out your post on your daughter and Carter. They're both ADORABLE !! I know you look forward to your trip to Galveston at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favorite time of year, so I enjoyed seeing all the decorations you saw on your trip. The mums are so colorful! And that cow! How cute! Of course, I do have a thing for cows. :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Shelia. Isn't it an amazing sight to see hundreds of mum plants and pumpkins? I am always so in awe and then buy my few and they never quite look the same. Lovely outing.
ReplyDeleteJudy
What a lovely trip with you looking at fall displays! Susan gave me the itch and you've given me great ideas! Thanks Shelia!
ReplyDeleteOh Shelia! There is always tomorrow for Fall Decor. :) Right? I just barely got mine done Saturday. I just had a little baby freak-out when I looked at the calender and realized that if I didn't get on the stick... I was going to miss the whole season! UGH!
ReplyDeleteThese are such cute pictures. I love that little bakery! So sweet.
Hope you have a great week! :)
~Liz
YOU--you aren't finished decorating for fall? Well, now, the world is off its axis!

ReplyDeleteI just love your pumpkin patch post. I just recently went to a pumpkin farm. Aren't they wonderful? Your bright orange pumpkins made my day, and that pumpkin scarecrow is so sweet. I hope you are enjoying the Fall days. Oh, I have a thing for red barns too.
