Hello, Dear Ones!
I wanted to wish you all a very Happy 4th of July!
Blessings to you and your families and friends as you celebrate our nations freedom.
My 4th of July decorating:
poked a few flags in my basket of flowers,
one on a stack of books guarded by my parrot and
POOF!!
I'm done! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Some Gave All
I knew a man called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don't understand
About the reasons we are free
I can't forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me
All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all
Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man
Love your country and live with pride
And don't forget those who died America can't you see
All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall, yes recall
Some gave all
Some gave all
~ sung by Billy Ray Cyrus Few folks even knew his name

One thing that I love about decorating for the 4th is that a few flags is all it takes to make a big statement. Easy Peasy! Wish all holiday decorating was that easy. I love your display on your mantel. Have a great day today!
ReplyDeleteI love your mantel centerpiece. I have a hutch top I've never been too sure how to decorate, and I think an arrangement like yours would be wonderful there. I love the way you can change it for the holidays and the lights would light up my dark corner. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Now if I can just find a great basket like yours!
ReplyDeleteMantel is pretty, 4th festive, yet not red, white and blue, alone. I like the color and sparkle. Happy 4th.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and so patriotic Sheila. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and safe 4th.
ReplyDeleteHi again. Thanks for coming by. My photo on post is not the mountain I climbed, but I don't know how they compare. I think I'll find a pic of Mt. Olympus for later, now that I have mentioned it. hahhahhahha.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty basket of patriotic lovelies.
Happy 4th of July to you and your family.

Hi Shelia, Isn't our flag the perfect finishing touch to an already fabulous mantel? Happy 4th week. I was just looking over your Marie antoinette circle journal post and I think it would be so much fun. You are a very talented girl and Marie does look familiar! :) Linda
