Corners In June

Hello, Dear Ones.
Now I'm all for milking a subject here at Note Songs cottage and since my kitchen was all spiffed up for Jeanne and Bill's visit, I just had to show you my clean kitchen corners.
Don't get me wrong, the rest of my house was fairly clean too! ;)

If you visit me often, you know how I love to play in my kitchen corners
so I set up a couple of vignettes for my two corners.
This corner is kind of a more elegant Rooster vignette
as most of the time I'm just falling down plumb silly vignetting! :)

My Most Handsome Rooster just had to be included here
and he's carrying a bit of greens with him.

I poked down this new to me gravy boat with its attached underplate.
Since my favorite Rooster loves his fruits and veggies I added a few clusters of grapes.

Now over to my other kitchen corner.
I wanted this to be a girly girly corner vignette.

I know, I know, purple doesn't usually fit in a kitchen.
But my yellow bead board seems to be a great backdrop for almost any color...so purple it is! :)
Here's a sweet little tea cup being very girly girly.

See my cute little teaspoon?
Well, it's not purple, but it sure is cute, don't you think?

Then I added a sweet little tea pot with purple pansies on it.
The cup and tea pot are sitting on a crocheted doily my granny made many moons ago
and then it's placed on top of my square milk glass cake stand.
See, I told you...girly girly.

I poked down a tiny little cloche with a little sprig of lavender (faux, of course) underneath the glass.
The cloche is sitting on a sweet little tray covered with purple flowers.

Since I'm all set for tea, I added a napkin and a cute little crescent roll (faux, of course).
Just in case you want to add jam or butter, I've poked down a tiny little bunny knife.
Cute and girly girly!

So I think I've milked my clean kitchen for all it's worth now.
I have a sink filled with dirty dishes and junk's all over the cooktop.
Shoot! Now I've got to clean up the kitchen again! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Man! I Feel Like A Woman!
Let's go girls! Come on.

I'm going out tonight-I'm feelin' alright

Gonna let it all hang out
Wanna make some noise-really raise my voice
Yeah, I wanna scream and shout
No inhibitions-make no conditions
Get a little outta line
I ain't gonna act politically correct
I only wanna have a good time

The best thing about being a woman

Is the prerogative to have a little fun

Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy-forget I'm a lady

Men's shirts-short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild-yeah, doin' it in style
Oh, oh, oh, get in the action-feel the attraction
Color my hair-do what I dare
Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free-yeah, to feel the way I feel
Man! I feel like a woman!

The girls need a break-tonight we're gonna take

The chance to get out on the town
We don't need romance-we only wanna dance
We're gonna let our hair hang down

The best thing about being a woman

Is the prerogative to have a little fun

Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy-forget I'm a lady

Men's shirts-short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild-yeah, doin' it in style
Oh, oh, oh, get in the action-feel the attraction
Color my hair-do what I dare
Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free-yeah, to feel the way I feel
Man! I feel like a woman!

The best thing about being a woman

Is the prerogative to have a little fun (fun, fun)

Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy-forget I'm a lady

Men's shirts-short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild-yeah, doin' it in style
Oh, oh, oh, get in the action-feel the attraction
Color my hair-do what I dare
Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free-yeah, to feel the way I feel
Man! I feel like a woman!

I get totally crazy

Can you feel it
Come, come, come on baby
I feel like a woman

  11. Hi darling, I love your teacup corner. Your rooster is just too handsome for words. Out of all the teacups I have I don't have a purple one.. I might have to try and correct that little problem..lol

  16. (Oops! I goofed.)

I officially name you the "Corner Queen". You are definitely the girl with the best corners. I know Jeanne would have loved both of these corners, and she would have especially loved the girlie corner. She is a girlie that loves purple flowers. And, you are a girlie that always makes things pretty. The two of you are a perfect pair.♥

  17. Wow your vignettes are both adorable! You are good at it! I am reminded of some lilac accented pieces I picked up on Mackinac Island a few years ago. I couldn't decide what to do with them but your vignette with the violets and pansies has inspired me! Love the bunny knife!

  18. very cute corners! I keep collecting more of the large, junky stuff so girly corners are not much of an option for me any more, I do have a girly room or two so I am still doing ok ;)

  24. Shelia,
Adore your kitchen corners! My favorite has to be the girly purple! Although, Mr. Roo looks mighty handsome, too! That gravy boat is gorgeous! I did some kitchen counter vignette changing this weekend, as well. "Mr Ed" knows there will be some "great food" cooked this week, as a new vignette can be so inspiring to this cook!!!Ha!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  25. Actually, the purple corner of your kitchen is my favorite! I have become very fond of that color against white (as you probably know). Those teacups with the purple flowers are so pretty! I'm sure your kitchen is no different from everyone elses (regarding the dirty dishes in the sink). I know mine doesn't stay cleaned up very long with the kids home for the summer. It's all I can do to keep groceries in the house now too! I will finally get my clean kitchen back in the Fall. Ha!

  26. Your vignettes are put together so well! I love roosters and purple and yellow go really well together. Love the Shania Twain song. Hubbie and I went to see her a few years ago and she gave a great concert! She was very warm and friendly with the crowd. Just became a new follower. I see your comments on many blogs that I visit and popped over here to see you. Love your blog! I'm going to quit chatting and take a look around to see what I've been missing.

I adore pansies and the ones on your cup and saucer are lovely...that is the cutest little spoon too. Your roosters and grapes go so well together.
It looks like you had fun making your vignettes.
    hope you stay cooler tomorrow..
