Hello, dear ones. I'm noticing that it's beginning to look a lot like Spring all over the Land of Blog!
Oh, there are so many Spring parties to attend and I'm a party girl! :)
I hope you'll attend some too.
You can look at the parties on my side bar.
Well, I sure don't want to be left behind so I've springed up my mantel.
All Springged up!
I wanted a light hearted Easter egg colored mantel.
I poked down my favorite white pitcher and filled it will yellow tulips ~ faux, of course!
Love my fauxs and my fauxs love me.
Then I used a new yellow platter found at a thrift shop.
I looked online and found out it is Franciscan in the Coronado pattern.
Lots of you have some pieces like this little green plate I've used.
Then I just poked down this cute little pink bunny candy dish.
Now you're looking at my newest purchase ~ meet Mama Bunny and her two Bunny Foo Foos.
Aren't they adorable? Well, I was walking down the aisles of Kroger and there they were with no place to go. I just couldn't leave them to fend for themselves in the grocery store.
They are so happy to be adorning my mantel. :)
Aren't these some brightly colored books?
Well, I used my dainty talented fingers, grabbed some scrapbook paper and covered the heck out of three of my books.
I felt like I was back in high school covering my text books with those manila colored book covers.
This was more fun ~ no homework! :)
I hung a wreath over my plain Jane, but beloved mirror, I made a while back.
I took a grape vine wreath and sprayed it white.
I took a grape vine wreath and sprayed it white.
Then...
I ripped up some white fabric, rolled and tacky glued, rolled and tacky glued till my tiny fingers almost fell off!
I hot glued my shabby roses onto the wreath and the rest is history.
To finish off my mantel I added two candlesticks, poked on a couple of white candles tied with a little green checked ribbon and I was done!
Well, shoot! There's my little candle lighter behind the candlesticks.
Just keeping it real. :)
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my Springged up Easter egg colored mantel.
I'm happy to be joining Fox Hollow for the Mantel Party from The Spring'tacular Link Party Parade,
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Suddenly It's Spring
Why is my heart dancing? imagine dancing! You look at me, and suddenly it’s spring.
Why do I keep sighing? not sad, just sighing,
I’m young and free, and suddenly it’s spring.
High on a hilltop, love is calling,
Someone should wish me happy falling.
No more being lonely, can I be lonely?
You look at me and suddenly it’s spring.
High on a hilltop, love is calling,
Someone should wish me happy falling.
No more being lonely, can I be lonely?
You look at me, I look at you
We’re young and free, and suddenly it’s spring.
