Who are you?
A mother and daughter team, that's who! :)
My daughter had decided on a design she wanted me to draw on little Carter's closet doors.
My daughter had decided on a design she wanted me to draw on little Carter's closet doors.
As I said, they have an older home and the two closet doors are sliders. I know you've all seen them.
I came prepared with my paint shirt!
Every color of every room or project I've done in the last 10 years has made their way to the front of this tee shirt! :) I love my paint shirt!
I'm so talented like that you know! :)
Hamming it up just a bit before we get serious!
This is the result. I drew the stylized tree on the door and made a couple of leave stencils.
Then on the other door, I drew a limb and a little cutie owl.
We both pulled out the brushes and went to town painting it.
There's more to this little design too than you can see. This is going to be a growth chart.
Since son in law is a perfectionist and has a doctorate and a masters in chemical engineering,
we decided he could measure and draw all the inch marks on the door that will go straight up by the tree trunk.
Cute idea, huh?
We used wall paint and our painting is not perfect but that's okay.
The walls of little Carter's room aren't finished yet, but they will be the soft pink you see in the leaves and one long wall will be stripes of white, the pinks and the greens.
Wish I had had the time to stay and help her finish it!
Of course I had to sign my work!
This was a fun project and I'm so glad I could leave a little bit of me on Carter's closet doors.
When she walked into her room and saw the doors she said, "Wow!"
You know my heart swelled with love and pride! :)
Who are you? You're my little angel. Love love kiss kiss...Gran.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Who We Are
Who we are
Who we are
Who we are
Who we are
Who we are
Who we are
I have to take control
So much is left untold
Trying to find myself
At times its hard to know
Who we are, we are, we are
Words can cut so deep
Weighing down on me
Time and time I see how vicious the world can be
Who we are, we are, we are
We're beautiful
Our flaws and all
They're beautiful to me
It's who we are, who we are
It's who we're meant to be
We're beautiful
Our flaws and all
They're beautiful to me
It's who we are, who we are
It's who we're meant to be
Now never change a thing
We all have broken days
To paint it on our face
It gets too much to fake
And we wanna hide away
Who we are, we are, we are
Who we are
Who we are
Who we are
Who we are
Who we are
I have to take control
So much is left untold
Trying to find myself
At times its hard to know
Who we are, we are, we are
Words can cut so deep
Weighing down on me
Time and time I see how vicious the world can be
Who we are, we are, we are
We're beautiful
Our flaws and all
They're beautiful to me
It's who we are, who we are
It's who we're meant to be
We're beautiful
Our flaws and all
They're beautiful to me
It's who we are, who we are
It's who we're meant to be
Now never change a thing
We all have broken days
To paint it on our face
It gets too much to fake
And we wanna hide away
Who we are, we are, we are
