Hello, Dear Ones! I wanted to share with you my Thanksgiving table all set up and waiting for the food! :)

Here we are in the dining room...opps! Again, I forgot to vacuum. Well, I don't do it, Mr. Precious does. He's excused! :)

I've set a simple table for the two of us, Mother and a friend.

I'm using a creamy colored charger and His Majesty dishes by Johnson Brothers.

Isn't he a grand bird? or poultry? or fowl? I don't know which. Doesn't matter because his goose will be cooked nice, brown and tasty come next Thurday! :) I'm so mean!

Each place setting has a little glass gourd sitting on the dessert plate which I will be using for the bread plate! Oh, I'm just confusing my tiny self! :) Note to self: don't eat the glass gourd but wait until the flaky biscuit sits here. :)

Very nontraditional Thanksgiving color - purple or amethyst. I just love these goblets and since there is some purpley colors in the dishes, I thought these would look nice. I got these from Dillards many many moons ago.

To wipe the gravy dripping off our tiny chins is a freshly washed napkin poked through a Fallen napkin ring from Walmart.

Onieda silver will be used to deliver the scrumptious foods to our pie holes. This was a gift from Mr. Precious a few Christmases ago. He is so sweet, he even got my mother a set - complete with a silverware box!

Now here is a set of salt and pepper shakers I found - somewhere, some time ago, olden and silver plated. Makes my tiny heart zing!

Then another set of salt and peppers. I don't know if you can tell in this snap, but the shaker on the right is copper colored and the other one is silver. Cool, huh? They're quite olden too. Shake, shake, shake! Shake, shake, shake! Shake your booty...um I mean salt shaker! :)

Now on to my simple centerpiece. I love that milk glass footed bowl and I use her a lot! I mean a whole lot!

She is just poked full of faux fruits. I love my faux fruits! And you say, "Can you really love faux fruits?" Well, you bet your plasticness stuck between your pearly whites you can! :) I love my faux artichokes. Can you really love faux artichokes...you know that answer, don't you? :)

I'm so tickled to show you these salt and pepper shakers. This turkey couple has been together for more than 50 years! Yep! As a little girl I had a collection of salt and pepper shakers and these were in that group. Unfortunately, some nasty little girl was visiting and acting up and ran smack into the bookshelf where all my S/P were and most of them fell out on my mother's most gorgeous hard wood floors! My S/P just laid there in bits and pieces! I just cried and cried and cried. I had about 5 sets that survived. I don't think I ever invited that nasty little girl to come back and play. :) I mean it!

Thank you for popping in to see my simple thanksgiving table! I'll wish you all an early Happy Thanksgiving! May you all have a wonderful day with family and friends and be very blessed.

I thought I would leave you with a view of a little turkey butt! Are you smilin' yet? :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
We Gather Together
We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.
Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!
We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!
~sung by me
