Oh, Christmas Tree!

Hello, Dear Ones! I've gotten my tree decorated! Finally!

We have a two story entry and at the bottom curl of the staircase this is where our tree goes every year.

We always use an artificial tree as it can be 80' on Christmas day so we can't have drying falling off needles! I hate that! :)

Here you see our tree looking from the foot of the stairs.

Another view.

I was so excited to use Deco Poly Mesh on my tree. I had seen how the mesh was used by Kristen at Kristen's Creations and Liz at Savvy Seasons. Oh, how inspiring these two young women are to me! :) So...I went to Michael's and bought some mesh and squished and twirled and wrapped. I don't know if I did it the right way, but it sure was fun and I like how it turned out. Also, I didn't even use all of my ornies! If you can see right at the top, I made these poffies, kinda like bows, all around the top. Kinda like a bouffant hair doo! :)

Then I made an explosion like I did last year. I learned how to do this from Kristen. By the way, this pretty lady decorates other folks homes for Christmas and she's fabulous. You must pop over to her blog to see some of her handiwork.

Sparkle sparkle. Twinkle twinkle. :) I love this stuff.

Here's a little peep at nighttime. I learned a new setting on my camera, Reba, for night snaps and look how the lights look like little stars.

Here's what I see from the chair I blog from in my den. I like my view and hope you do too.

Hope you're all having fun pulling out your boxes and tubs of Christmas decorations. I can't wait to see all of your marvelous work! Continue to sparkle and twinkle! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

O Christmas Tree

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
Not only green when summer's here,
But also when 'tis cold and drear.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
How often has the Christmas tree
Afforded me the greatest glee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me.

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
From base to summit, gay and bright,
There's only splendor for the sight.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
Thou bidst us true and faithful be,
And trust in God unchangingly.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee! !"

~ sung by me and my tree :)
