A Little Yo Yo Birthday

Hello, Dear Ones. First of all, I want to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. Be blessed with your dear family!

Now, I want to show you a little Christmas craft I'm made with my most dainty creamy talented fingers! :)

See? A little yo yo Christmas tree on a Christmas tree red pillow! I searched and searched for a red pillow! I could have made one, but didn't want to. I found this at Garden Ridge and it actually has an outdoor fabric on it and I love it!

Darling, huh? I have to tell you something...this idea has been in my tiny mind for the last two Christmases but I was just to lazy to do it! Two Christmases in my mind, one evening to make! What a sluggard I am! :)

Okay, it's Hammer time ~ let's break it down! :) The little red yo yos are the tub or urn if you will that holds the base of the yo yo tree. You can't see the base as it is pretend! :)

Then we move on to the green yo yo branches of the yo yo Christmas tree, tapering up so high until we reach...

the star! The yo yo star with royal beauty bright. Westward leading, still proceeding guide us to thy perfect light! :)

I want you to know, not one single piece of Christmas fabric was used to yo yo on my yo yo Christmas tree! Just poodled around in my fabric stash and found some green, red and yellow!
Now to further convince you of what a sluggard I am, I didn't even tack the yo yos together, I just used hot glue on the back sides of the yos and poked them down! :) Genius, huh?

Now I'm sure you all can yo yo, but if you don't know how to make a fabric yo yo, you can Google it and find lots of cool sites and blogs that will show you how!

It's my birthday today! I've had a wonderful blessed time, but dog gone it, I do have to cook some to get ready for tomorrow. I'm 60 years old! Can you believe it? Well, I can't! I really don't care about my age as long as I'm healthy and happy and blessed and I really am. Well, I won't be 60 until 11:00 pm my mother tells me! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too, yeah
They say it's your birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy birthday to you.

Yes we're going to a party party
Yes we're going to a party party

I would like you to dance (Birthday)

  28. Shelia, a belated Happy Birthday to you. You are like my Mom because both of you look too young to be your age. I really like your red pillow, you did good! Since today is Thanksgiving Day, I hope you are having a wonderful day. I am thankful today for so many blessings in my life and I hope this doesn't sound too sappy, but my blogging friends ( including you ) are a special blessing. I enjoy reading your funny words and seeing your cute crafts. Keep them coming! Gotta get back to the stove. We will eat at 5 PM.
