Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Holly Jolly Christmas
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
It's the best time of the year
I don't know if there'll be snow
but have a cup of cheer
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
And when you walk down the street
Say Hello to friends you know
and everyone you meet.
Oh Ho the mistletoe
hung where you can see;
Somebody waits for you;
Kiss her once for me
Have a holly jolly Christmas
and in case you didn't hear
Oh by golly have a holly jolly Christmas this year
It's the best time of the year
I don't know if there'll be snow
but have a cup of cheer
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
And when you walk down the street
Say Hello to friends you know
and everyone you meet.
Oh Ho the mistletoe
hung where you can see;
Somebody waits for you;
Kiss her once for me
Have a holly jolly Christmas
and in case you didn't hear
Oh by golly have a holly jolly Christmas this year

I'm almost finished, what you saw it's last year's, I moved the tree else where because of my vintage Italian table and the mantel is different too. My Elf was from two years ago, lol! Hi Shelia, it's been a while. Thanks for a peek into your beautiful home. Have a blessed weekend :)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Looking good! I will most likely start tomorrow. Hubby has to work today and all of my stuff is in the basement. I'd like his help getting to it all. Looking forward to seeing more of your decorations. I love the fruit and greenery combo. That's so classic!
ReplyDeleteHey Shelia, I didn't do too much fall decorating but I am going to do it up for Christmas this year, making use of what I have. I love your mantel. Your decorating is always elegant and warm and just right. xo
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Shelia!! I'm decorating too, just needed a little break to blog :)
ReplyDeleteOh my your decorations are lovely!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Olivia

It looks wonderful Shelia! I love your blog header too. Have a nice weekend! Pamela
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteThe shelf looks lovely with all the rich colors. I would not change the painting at all....it's perfect.
hugs
Sissie
You're off to a good start! The shelf is very pretty...I love the look of sugared fruit! I need to recover from yesterday and I'll be good to go!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Shelia,
ReplyDeleteYour mantle is just stunning, dear friend! I adore the print over the mantle...but I know what you mean about wishing you had a Santa print. I've always hoped for a snowman print. Perhaps one day! Keep up the "great" work you've begun. Today as I began my Christmsa decor, the song that was ringing through my head was..."Hang high the Holly"..for we NEED a little Christmas now!
Fondly,
Pat
I just started today, Shelia! I just can't start decorating for Christmas until Thanksgiving has passed. I hope to have the majority of it all done by the end of the weekend. Then I'll probably be tweaking for a few days!
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! You are well ahead of me. And it already looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful, Shelia! I love the sparkly pears and the wrapped lamps! Can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteLove the song...reminds me of my favorite Rudolph! and sung by my friends great uncle Burl Ives!
ReplyDeleteSheila, I've been a lurker for a long time and love your blog ... you're as cute as a button!!! I saw Santa art at Kirklands that would look great on your little shelf. Do you have a Kirklands in your area, hopefully? Jackie
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jackie, for coming to my blog and I'm just thrilled you like it! Yes, I need to get over to Kirklands and look at those Santas!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Your shelf looks very pretty and colorful, Shelia. I think the painting is beautiful and fits in nicely with the other decorations. If you have your heart set on a Santa picture it would look good, too. I vote for the painting, though. Hope you have a good weekend and get lots of decorating done. I'm busy doing that, too.------ Shannon
ReplyDeleteoh I like this! I haven't pulled out my ornaments yet, but I am moving away from my more "city'esque" glitz and into this direction. I loved this.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Weekend Miss Shelia! I'm Christmasing as well. LOVE your mantel!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty vignette. I especially like the pretty 'jewelled' fruit. We have our family tree up and I hope to get the living room tree up this weekend. I need to work on some vignettes however. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comment on the PEACE banner I made. The colours will be a hint to the remaking of my living room tree this year.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Shelia! I got about as far as you, so I've got a long way to go, but my feet hurt so I'm taking a little break! Don't overdo it! :)
ReplyDeleteSheila, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at your home! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty. I just started decorating yesterday and hope to finish next week. A lot of work but so much fun! It is a wonderful time of the year.(-:
ReplyDeleteYour home is looking very festive indeed! I can't wait to see more of your Christmasing soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sheila, for adding my Christmas party button to your sidebar! I so appreciate it.
Best wishes for a wonderful week,
Natasha.
Oh my I commented yesterday but I dont see it.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this and I admire your creative eye. Its exactly enough without going to far and thats tough to do especially with holiday decor..
