Can you believe it? Unflavored gelatin and milk! I used 2 Tbs. of milk and my mixture was not so thick.

Then it happened!! Oh, my Lord! Did I just pull out part of my eyebrow hairs? Yes, I did! I got a little of this most wonderful mixture on my eyebrow and when I began pulling it off my forehead I pulled out some eyebrow hairs, which I don't have all that many to loose these days! :)
Thank the Lord for eyebrow pencils!
This stuff works but don't get it around your tiny eyebrows or they'll be gone! :)
One more thing before I go...I need to take a little break as I've been crocheting a gift for Christmas and it's kicking my, well, my bum bum. I'm making an afghan and it's really not hard but the directions are not quite perfect. So I keep messing up! I hate it when that happens!
I'm a long way from being finished. I like it but it's kicking my, um, bum bum. Didn't I tell you that already? :) This snap looks a little like crochet motif pancakes, don't you think? :)
Well, Dear Ones, I'm going to tell you, I've torn this puppy apart two times!! I've made some motifs with too many petals, etc., etc. Oh, the misery of it all!
I've even changed up the colors as to how I'm putting it all together.
I had already put all of these motifs together - twice and pulled them all apart - twice! I must tell you though, I'm just stubborn enough that I will not give up! I will finish this afghan if I break all of my most dainty creative fingers! :) So I'll see you in about a week and hopefully will have this booger afghan done! :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Another One Bites the Dust
Oh! Let's go!
Steve walks warily down the street
With his brim pulled way down low
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet
Machine guns ready to go
Are you ready hey are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat yeah
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust hey
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
How do you think I'm going to get along
Without you when you're gone
You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own
Are you happy are you satisfied?
How long can you stand the heat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat look out
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust hey
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

You're so talented to be able to make afghans. They remind me of my husbands grandmother. She was ALWAYS crocheting afghans for someone and had to stop in her older years because her eyesight got too bad. She really missed it after that. She's no longer with us, but any time I see an afghan that someone made, I think of her. We are fortunate enough to have some that she made for us. See, you're making a gift that will be cherished forever! Good luck to you in getting it finished. I know they are very time consuming.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! It's going to be gorgeous and you will feel such a sense of accomplishment! I can't wait to see it finished! Have a great week. Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteI don't crochet...so this looks fabulous to me!!! Crocheted pancakes...now you're making me hungry! HA! Thanks for your sweet comment and visit recently. I treasure your friendship and look forward to seeing and hearing from you again, soon, dear!
Fondly,
Pat
Shelia, I know what you mean about the eyebrows! I noticed 2 white onese and didn't know whether to pull them or leave them - but they do stand out! Anyway, the afghan will be beautiful....love what you've done so far. Have a productive break! Linda
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness Shelia! You ALWAYS make me laugh!! And I have no doubt you will conquer that most aggravating afghan!!
ReplyDeleteLou Cinda :)
Good luck with the afghan, we will miss you! XO ~Liz
ReplyDeleteYou will figure out a trick for the afghan, Shelia! I have confidence you can do it! Enjoy your break, and now I will have "Another One Bites the Dust" in my head the rest of the day (which isn't a bad thing, really.....)
ReplyDelete(((hugs))),
Ricki Jill
PS Thanks for sharing the mask with us, especially the tip about eyebrows!
Hello dearest Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI am careful about what I put on my face. I have never washed it with anything but water and never use makeup. I have always been funny about it that way.
Good luck on putting that pretty afghan together.
Love and hugs, Cindy
The afghan will turn out just lovely. You are putting many good wishes and love into it so you can't go wrong. Lucky person who will receive it. Blessings...Lu

I love the Afgan motifs! Can't wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteOh Shelia! You are something else in this world. I would have tossed that in a drawer and been onto something else. YARN and I do not get along well. That said the motifs look perfect and beautiful...good for you for hanging in there. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteHelen
You are such a sweetie! I know how you feel, there are times when a crochet project will kick my hindy and it will frustrate me so much. I have been MIA several times because I am working on a project. Good luck sweetie, looking forward to seeing the finished project. Hugs, Karie
